Miami Vice - Split
Genre: Crime/Drama
Executive Producer: Peter Berg
Writer: Roy Horne
Based on the television series
Cast: Josh Holloway, Taye Diggs, Andy Garcia, Carlos Leon, Mark Consuelos, Cody Horn

Plot: Sonny Crockett (Josh Holloway) stares at a picture of his late wife Cassidy with a tear in his eyes. He then gets dressed, feeds his gator Elvis and drives to a marina where his partner Ricardo Tubbs (Taye Diggs) is waiting for him. Crockett is set to go onto a yacht full of local drug runners under his cover identity, Sonny Burnett. Tubbs fills him in on who has already boarded the boat. One on the boat, Crockett notices his contact Alejandro Gutierrez (Carlos Leon) head below deck on the ship. A few moments later Gutierrez comes back up and suggests to Crockett that he leave the boat before it hits the open water. Crockett asks why, but Gutierrez just continues moving and gets off the boat. Crockett decides to stay on the boat to see if Gutierrez's boss, Miguel Manolo, decides to show up for the event. Once the boat is out on the open water, it explodes.

Lt. Martin Castillo (Andy Garcia) and Tubbs are dismayed that Crockett's body hasn't been found yet. Tubbs starts going through Crockett's files on Manolo, suspecting that since he was the only one who hadn't shown up for the boat, that he must be behind the explosion. Crockett suddenly wakes up in a hospital bed with a serious head injury. He doesn't remember who he is or how he ended up  there. Gutierrez walks into the room and tells Crockett that he is Sonny Burnett, a drug runner. The doctor tells Crockett that he has temporary amnesia, but that his memories should slowly start to come back.

Once he is out of the hospital, Crockett (still thinking he is Sonny Burnett) heads over to Miguel Manolo's waterfront mansion. He is greeted by Manolo (Mark Consuelos), who shows off his prized cockfighting birds to Crockett. He assures Crockett that he didn't have the boat blown up and that he wants Sonny Burnett, the one survivor, to figure out who did it and make them pay. While at Manolo's house, he is introduced to Manolo's assistant Polly Wheeler (Cody Horn). When Crockett leaves Manolo's house, he sees Gutierrez drive by, triggering a memory of seeing Gutierrez do something below deck and then leave the boat. Crockett goes back to Manolo, and tells him that he believes Gutierrez must have been behind the boat explosion.

Tubbs starts his own investigation into what happened to his partner. Castillo wants the case handed over to homicide, but Tubbs pleads for a little time to take a look at things. Meanwhile, Crockett/Burnett is handling a meet for Manolo, which quickly goes bad, but Crockett/Burnett stops the others from ripping off Manolo's product by shooting one of the men, and trapping the other two in the trunk of their car. Burnett is approached on the beach at night by Gutierrez, who wants to go into business with Burnett. Instead, Burnett shoots Gutierrez in the face and walks away. He gives Manolo a call, saying it's done.

Tubbs arrives at Manolo's art gallery where he meets Polly Wheeler. He introduces himself as Rico Cooper and asks for a meeting with her boss, Manolo. Wheeler calls Manolo and tells him about the visit from Cooper, and he tells her to go ahead and arrange for a meet in the alley behind the gallery. That night, Tubbs arrives for the meet, only to be shot in the chest by Crockett/Burnett. Tubbs survives the shot since he is wearing a bulletproof vest. Tubbs manages to escape the scene, gasping for air. Tubbs sees Crockett leaving the scene and calls out for him, but he keeps walking away.
