Ruby Ridge: The true story film Ruby Ridge has added Jeremy Davies (Particle, The Driftwood Populace), Kevin Nash (Dog, Magic Mike's Last Dance), Michael Mosley (Signing Tony Raymond, Splinter Cell: Double Agent), and Joel McHale (Stepford, Last Rites) to its supporting ensemble cast. Kathryn Bigelow is directing the film from a script by Lon Charles and Dwight Gallo.
Superman: Doomsday: More familiar faces are returning for the latest Superman film with Colin Firth (Superman: Exile, Kazaria) back as Superman's father Jor-El, Mia Kirshner (Escape, Superman: Exile) as Superman's mother Lara Lov-Van, Gary Sinise (A Reputation, Supergirl) back as General Sam Lane, and finally Chloe Grace Moretz (Supergirl: Power, Material Girl) back as Supergirl. Jeff Nichols once again directs the DC Comics Universe production from a script by John Malone.
ThunderCats: Cole Hauser (Scarface, Alien: Isolation), Grant Feely (Five Nights at Freddy's 2, Gunner), Brooklynn Prince (Collapse, Free Spirit), and Winslow Fegley (Amityville Horror, The Flash #2) have all joined the animated series adaptation Thundercats. Hauser will play Jaga, Prince will play Wileykit, Fegley will play Wileykat, while Feely will play a younger version of the main character Lion-O (played by Jack Reynor). Jonathan Liebesman is directing the film from a script by Joshua Collins.
Tara's Wrath: The third film in the trilogy kickstarted by Tara's Web will see two more returning faces in the form of Jade Pettyjohn (Escape, Test of Time) and Jake Cannavale (Tara's Web, "The Offer"), who both last appeared in the first film. Lynne Ramsay is back to direct this third entry, while Roy Horne has taken over as writer from Jacob Jones.
The Writer and the Film Star: Early in Season 35, Elle Fanning (Tears of an Angel, Spider-Man: Requiem) and Miles Teller (Open Hearts, Tokyo Rose) are set to star in the romantic drama The Writer and the Film Star from director Thomas Vinterberg (The Hunt, Another Round) and writer Alex Conn (Mises, The Revolution). Teller will play a writer whose wife, played by Fanning, is becoming a major film star. Louis Partridge (Pompeii, Who Do You Trust When the World is at War?) will also appear as a rival for her affections.
Thus Dreamed Zarathustra: Writer Meirad Tako (Police Story: Retribution, War of the Currents) and director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (Never Look Away, The Tourist) are set to team up on a film based on German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche - a film which promises to be part biopic and part hallucinogenic fever dream. Franz Rogowski (Passages, Lubo) is set for his LRF debut as Nietzsche, while Christoph Waltz (The Past Before, At the Mountains of Madness) will portray his mentor Richard Wagner, and August Diehl (Less, Justice League Dark) will play Nietzsche's father.
