Rubicon Lies: Martin Scorsese's latest historical crime epic - the JFK assassination conspiracy film Rubicon Lies - has completed its casting process with the additions of Bobby Cannavale (Starship Troopers, Tara's Web), David Krumholtz (Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere, Oppenheimer), John Lithgow (Starman, Eye of the Scarecrow), and Tony Shalhoub (Last Rites, Play Dirty) to its ensemble cast. Jimmy Ellis penned the script.

Man-Thing: The Marvel Universe nature horror film Man-Thing has added Jasmin Savoy Brown (Scream 7, "Yellowjackets"), Daryl McCormack (Twisters, Wake Up Dead Man), Don Omar (F9, The Fate of the Furious), and Miguel Gomez (Megan Leavey, "FBI: Most Wanted") to its cast. Omar and Gomez will play villainous henchmen, McCormack will play an expert of the swamps, while Brown will play a young scientist. Jordan Peele dips his toes into the superhero genre directing the film, which has been written by Jimmy Ellis and Mark Newton.

The Molander Case: The film-themed WWII film The Molander Case has continued its casting process with the additions of Christian Friedel (The Zone of Interest, "Babylon Berlin"), Paula Beer (Afire, Undine), and Lazar Simaifar (Boys from the Forest, "WaPo Bodensee") in supporting roles. Christian Petzold is directing from a script by Wyatt Allen, while Christoph Waltz serves as a producer.

The House of Black: The first film in a planned universe of Wizarding World films in LRF has added some more talents to its cast. Olivia Williams (The Prisoner, Another End) will play yhe matriarch of the titular House of Black, Emma Appleton (The Crow: Yomi, "Gone") will play a family member forced into exile, Paul Kaye (The Woman in Cabin 10, The Offering) will play a house-elf, Charles Dance (Knight Rider, Mexican Gothic) will play the patriarch of the House of Black, and Cal MacAninch (The Reckoning, Nobody Has to Know) will play the father of Sirius and Regulus. Chan-wook Park is directing this film from a script by Sammy-Jo Ellis.

Wrong Turn: Writer Ben Collins (Tears of an Angel, Fragments of Heart) is looking to follow writers like Clive Steinbeck and Jack Brown in revitalizing a down-on-its-luck horror franchise.... Wrong Turn. Sophie Thatcher (Rediscovered Harmonies, The Crow: Midnight Garden), Tanner Buchanan (Batman Beyond, Becoming Carole Lombard), and Rohan Campbell (The Monkey, Halloween Ends) are set to lead the cast of the film which will depict a group of friends getting lost on a road trip through the forest. Horror and gore insue. Christopher Landon (Freaky, Happy Death Day) is set to direct the reboot.

New Christianity: The project has already garnered some behind-the-scenes notoriaty from this season's Gossip Rag, but now it's in the official trades. Francis Ford Coppola (Megalopolis, A View from the Bridge) is directing a horror/drama from writer Alex Conn (The Writer and the Film Star, The Revolution) about a teen church group that becomes a violent cult. Noah Jupe (Heist Society, Inner Demons) is set to play the hero, Finn Wolfhard (Gas Bar Blues, Heist Society) is set to play the villain, and Olivia Rodrigo (Revival, Anarchy) is set for the female lead.
