Welcome to the Season 25 Golden Reel Awards ceremony! Tonight we will be celebrating the best Last Resort Films released of the studio's 25th season. Tonight, 17 of the season's 30 films will be vying for the 14 prestigious awards on the line. The nominees are led by a trio of films - Carte Blanche, The Punisher: Last Resort and Revival - that all received a Metascore of 84 and all have at least 7 nominations tonight (The Punisher: Last Exit and Revival each have eight).
Before we get into the regular awards, we have a little special business to get into. During the season, the Last Resort Films Board of Directors asked the academy of writers for their nominations for the 5th Golden Reel of Achievement, a special award to recognize an individual talent's contribution to the growth, sustainability and success of the studio. This award is only given out every 5th season. The past winners of the award are Tom Cruise in Season 5, Mo Buck in Season 10, John Malone and Chad Taylor who shared the award in Season 15, and Christina Hendricks in Season 20.
The 5th Golden Reel of Achievement is hereby awarded to..... APJ.
The writer was nominated for his work on the studio's DC Comics Universe slate of films. In addition to writing several of the films himself, he has also been a guiding force behind the initiative, helping keep things coherent and connected - and ultimately successful. Here's to APJ and all his achievements!

AND THE AWARD GOES TO....
Scarlet becomes the third consecutive Best Production Design GRA winner penned by Roy Horne, joining Poison Ivy: Mind Games in Season 23 and Natural Selection in Season 24. It also has become the third Marvel Universe production to win the award, following Silver Surfer: The Power Cosmic and Namor the Sub-Mariner. While the night is off to a strong start for Scarlet, the night is already over for The Last of the Mohicans, which has struck out in its only nomination.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO....
The win for The Punisher: Last Exit makes it the first sequel to ever win Best Soundtrack, as well as the only film series to take the award home twice (The Punisher won the trophy back in Season 18). This is the third Marvel Universe film to win the award, with the other two (The Punisher and Luke Cage: Power Man) also written by Dwight Gallo, who has now won Best Soundtrack for the 4th time.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO....
Tinseltown's win here gives writer Andrew Doster his 3rd career GRA trophy. Every film nominated here still has more chances to take home gold. The Driftwood Populace has now gone 0-for-2 on the night while Carte Blanche and The Long Way Home have both missed in their first chances.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO....
In the night's 5th category, a 5th different film has now won a trophy, something not seen often. While this is Kyle Chandler's first win for Best Starring Couple (after previously being nominated alongside Sydney Sweeney for Poison Ivy), Hanks previously won this award for The King of Hearts (alongside Tom Cruise). Skin did not manage to take home any awards tonight, losing in its only category.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO....
Make that a 6th different film to win an award on the night in the first six categories. The Hammer of Thor went winless in its two categories, while We Know Where You Live also failed to win any awards in its lone category. This is the 3rd Best Villain victory for writer APJ, all three coming from his DC Comics Universe productions.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO....
Finally a film has won more than one trophy on the night as Revival takes home a second GRA. A win in this category tonight clearly gives the film a bit of an edge as the other major categories get ready to be announced. This is the 3rd Best Adaptation trophy for writer Chad Taylor, having previously won for Buried Child in Season 11 and Kansas City in Season 19. Batgirl will have to be content with the one trophy for Best Villain as it has no more nominations left.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO....
Believe it or not, this win here is Lon Charles' second Best Original Story GRA trophy. He previously won for Sinatra in Season 20. Every film in this category still has two chances left to take home more GRA gold.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO....
Sally Field manages to win the GRA for Best Supporting Actress in her first ever GRA nomination. It is the first win for Collapse after missing out on Best Original Story. This victory also makes for the 7th different film to win an award tonight. This is also the 6th time a film written by Mo Buck has taken home the Best Supporting Actress trophy. With Melanie Lynskey failing to win the award the night is now over for Nineteen Minutes.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO....
Tom Hanks has won Best Supporting Actor for the second time in his GRA career following his previous win for his work in The King of Hearts. Revival continues its impressive run tonight, taking him its 3rd GRA trophy of the ceremony. It still has chances in three of the final four categories yet to come. Meanwhile, The Long Way Home is still looking for its first win after striking out in Best Ensemble Cast, Best Original Story and now Best Supporting Actor. It's last chance is coming up next with Best Actress.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO....
And The Long Way Home manages to secure its only GRA trophy in its final nominated category. The night is over for Scarlet and The Driftwood Populace, with Scarlet taking home one trophy and The Driftwood Populace going home empty-handed despite entering the night with five nominations. Sadie Sink will have wait for another chance to win Best Actress after missing out once again in her third nomination in the category.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO....
After missing out on the Best Actor trophy for the first Punisher film back in Season 18 by just 10% of the vote (to Leonardo DiCaprio in Caesar), Mel Gibson has finally won the Best Actor GRA. The Punisher: Last Exit has now joined Revival as the only two films to win more than one award this evening. Not only that, but Gibson has become the first Best Actor winner from a film in the Superhero genre, and just the second winner in a major acting category to win for a superhero film, joining Christina Hendricks who won Best Actress at the Season 7 GRAs for her work in The Question: The End. Collapse will end the evening with just the won win for Best Supporting Actress.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO....
This is the second Best Director trophy for Denis Villeneuve, with him having previously won in Season 14 for Control. He joins an exclusive list of directors to win more than one GRA trophy, alongside Steven Soderbergh, Nicolas Winding Refn, Jeff Nichols and Christopher Nolan. This is second win of the night for Carte Blanche. While Tinseltown's evening is done, Carte Blanche, The Punisher: Last Exit and Revival will all face off (alongside Believe It or Not!) for the coveted Best Picture trophy up next.
AND THE AWARD GOES TO....
Carte Blanche wins the biggest award of the night, giving it three wins in the ceremony - tying Revival for the most of the season. Carte Blanche's win is the second time a film series has won this award for multiple entries (joining Caesar and Caesar Part II - coincidentally co-written by John Malone). Speaking of John Malone, this Best Picture trophy once again gives him back the record for Best Picture wins after Chad Taylor tied him last season at 8. Malone now has 9 Best Picture trophies.
