The Roundup with Jeff Stockton (Season 31 Round 5)

Finally a 3-for-3 round in Season 31. Here's The Roundup...

3. Ecstasy
A little rough around the edges at times, Ecstasy did a decent job delivering what it promised - a modern teen take on The Great Gatsby.

2. Ghost Rider: Damnation
While the story is a little stagnant at times, the action was great in this one, offering tons of imaginative, R-rated, demonic mayhem.

1. Box Office
While not the most profitable round of the season, this round was the first time in Season 31 that all three released films each earned a profit. That also makes four profitable films in row.

3. N/A

2. Saving Yemen
Saving Yemen wasn't terrible at all. In fact, there was plenty of humorous stuff in the film, but it was mostly front-loaded in the first half of the film. I found the second half of the overly saccharine, and the ending itself was pretty abysmal  and about as corny as it gets (and made an already unbelievable premise downright asinine).

1. Profits
It looks like this season is going to have to live or die (most likely live) based on the outcome of Justice League War to make up most the season's profits. Season 31 doesn't have any clear cut blockbusters. Season 30 had a similar rough first half, but in addition to Justice League Invasion in the second half, last season also had X-Men and James Bond around to pull their weight.
