D.I.C.K.
Genre: Dark Comedy
Director: Chris Morris
Writer: Jacob Jones
Cast: Adam Sandler, Omari Hardwick, Hilary Swank, Noah Centineo, Ajiona Alexus, Raul Esparza, Christopher McDonald, Riley Reid

Plot: In the streets of Kentucky, thousands of bodies brawl with one another, some people being shot, stabbed, and even bitten. Amidst the sea of bodies are two men in particular, Kenneth Fuller (Adam Sandler) and Aaron Thatcher (Omari Hardwick). Aaron tells Kenneth that it’s gone too far. Kenneth claims he hasn’t gone far enough and slams Aaron into the ground.

In narration, Kenneth asks how such a thing could happen. You see, he was once the president of a beloved nation. A nation, unlike any the world, had ever seen. A place of love, courage and respect. A place called Thistopia.

A Few Months Ago:
Kenneth, dressed in only a Hawaiian shirt and underwear, stands on top of a lawn chair, declaring that today is a special day. Kenneth has begun a new country called Thistopia. He plays their national anthem on a kazoo which draws the ire of his sister and disgraced actress Margaret (Hilary Swank). She angrily asks him why he’s making so much noise when she’s got a splitting headache.

Kenneth introduces the citizens to his ‘shit-ster’, only for her to point out that those are just Funko Pops and stuffed toys he bought at Walmart. The two siblings start shouting at one another when Aaron Thatcher stops by, looking to drop off some books. Upon seeing the scene, a baffled Aaron asks Kenneth what he’s doing.

Kenneth tells Aaron that he’s started a new country called Thistopia. A country that will be better than America in every conceivable way. Despite his skepticism, Aaron’s hand is forced when Kenneth openly calls him the Vice President. When asked why, Kenneth says that it makes sense since the two have been friends since they were in diapers. Not wanting to disappoint him, Aaron reluctantly accepts the proposal.

Upon Thistopia’s founding, Aaron finds that a lot of Kenneth’s ideas are borderline authoritarian, including one where all citizens must treat him as a God or they will be sent to his pool to be drowned to death. As the days pass, Kenneth grows unhappy. He sits in his ‘office’ (which is really just his bedroom), throwing a small tantrum over the lack of people in their ‘nation’. Noticing his frustration, Aaron points out that countries try to bring people over by creating ads. Kenneth thinks about it and then asks Aaron if he knows anyone from YouTube.

Unfortunately for him, the ads for people to join Thistopia fail to land, especially since at the end of the day, it is still just a backyard. In a rage, Kenneth trashes his bedroom and is only calmed down when he throws a chair at Margaret. After laughing hysterically, Kenneth suggests sprucing up his backyard, only for Margaret to tell him to join the military so he can be bombed twenty times over.

The next day, a well-built young man named Brody (Noah Centineo) stands just outside Kenneth’s house alongside his gang, The Wild Animalz asking why he needs his services. Kenneth tells Brody that he wants them to be Thistopia’s own personal military so they can take land from others. Brody takes one look at Kenneth’s backyard and is about to leave when Kenneth offers to bring in anyone he chooses. Brody accepts the offer. Later that day, The Wild Animalz sneak into a family’s house and shoot with their guns, killing everyone they see, bolting upon seeing police cars.

For their reward, Brody introduces Kenneth to a homeless man named Dave Rogers (Christopher McDonald). Despite his troubles, Dave happily shakes Kenneth’s hand and is named the Chief Justice, moving him into the house of the now-deceased family. Seeing this, several other homeless people walk up to Kenneth, asking if they can stay with him. Sensing an opportunity, Kenneth welcomes them in. Within a few days, Kenneth’s backyard becomes a thriving community of druggies, stoners, and old people.

Trouble emerges when multiple fights break out between the people. Unsure of how to handle this, Kenneth considers starting a Thistopian Fight Club, but Aaron has a better idea. Entertainment. Give the people something they want to see. Kenneth, in all his one-track-minded glory, immediately blurts out that the people want strippers. Aaron watches as Kenneth bolts off, absolutely confused. Margaret stumbles in, telling Aaron that watching Kenneth be a shithead has been the most entertainment she's gotten in years.

Upon entry to the strip club, he is greeted by the sight of barely clothed women dancing for horny men. One person takes his eye though, top-flight stripper Charlize Angelle (Ajionda Alexa),r. Upon meeting her, Kenneth asks if she would like to discuss something important with him. Not sure of what that is, she nonetheless accepts his proposal.

The next day, Charlize is introduced as Thistopia’s personal entertainer. This not only energizes the people already living in Thistopia, it drives more people (mainly horny young men) to join in. As Thistopia continues to grow and reaches its golden age, Brody and his Wild Animalz continue to schedule hit-and-runs, creating ‘land’ for Thistopia.

One evening, however, during an especially rowdy night, police cars roll into Kenneth’s house and request they tone down the noise. Kenneth and the ‘citizens’ of Thistopia respond by flipping them off. Kenneth goes a step further by telling the cops to kiss his ass and mooning the crowd. When the police go in to arrest him, Margaret breaks an empty glass bottle of vodka over his head, igniting a full-scale brawl that sees several people killed and others severely injured. Kenneth manages to escape and crashes at Dave’s for the night, hiding under his bed.

The next day, Kenneth declares ‘war’ on America for disgracing Thistopia. As such, he announces the ban of all American books, American pop-stars and most importantly, the banning of Tom Brady himself (“He used to be a patriot, what the fuck do you think?”). Aaron questions Kenneth on if he knows what he’d be doing declaring war on another country. After showing Kenneth pictures of dead bodies, Aaron suggests hiring someone who knows foreign policy. Kenneth disagrees, considering no one to be Thistopian enough, only to suggest the same thing seconds later. Once Kenneth leaves, Marataret steps in, asking if he’s seriously considered blasting Kenneth’s brains in, calling him a nut.

Sometime later, Aaron and Margaret are introduced to Mando Castillo (Raul Hernandez), a lawyer and college professor from the University of Kentucky. Aaron is surprised to learn that Kenneth has found someone sensible to run the department only to become suspicious when Mando mentions that he’s proud to be a part of this ‘social experiment’. That evening, Mando accidentally runs into Margaret doing cocaine on the sofa while Charlize watches. Flustered, he rushes out of Kenneth’s house and reports the news to his new boss. Drunk out of her mind, Margaret explains to Charlize that life is fleeting and encourages her to make the most of it. Margaret offers a drink to Charlize, who takes it despite her hesitancy.

The drinking goes into the next morning when a clearly intoxicated Charlize blows a kiss to Kenneth and goes outside with only her bra and panties on. As she flails and flops about, Aaron begins to question if it’s too late to back out when he sees Kenneth wearing an outfit eerily similar to the ones worn by dictators of the past. During Kenneth’s speech, he warns the people about the evils of alcohol and SpongeBob, suggesting that both are somehow related to one another. Regardless, everyone latches onto that thinking, except for Charlize who proceeds to tell Kenneth to fuck off.

Following this outburst, Kenneth and Charlize argue in his office when Charlize reveals what she did last night with Margaret. Enraged, Kenneth calls up Brody and tells him to arrest Margaret and Charlize. He takes them to Dave’s house where upon entering finds several people passed out and Dave stoned out of his mind. He tells Margaret and Charlize to spend the night inside his bathroom. In a desperate attempt to avoid her sentence, Charlize offers sex to Dave, which only leads him to extend the sentence.

Once Charlize and Margaret are taken and locked in the bathroom, Brody walks down the stairs and sits with Dave. The two talk about life for a bit while smoking weed. As it turns out. both men used to have aspirations in their lives. Dave was hoping to make it big in hockey, while Brody was going to be the next great professional wrestler. Unfortunately, drugs and booze would destroy those dreams. Dave, taking pity on Brody, warns him to not go down the same path he did as he at least still has a life to live.

Back in Kenneth’s house, Aaron is reaching a breaking point. Not only is Kenneth starting to grow more authoritarian and outlandish, but he has also discovered that he has a new secretary and is following her ideas instead. He knocks on the door to Kenneth’s ‘office’ only to receive no response. He opens the door, shocked to find Kenneth and his new secretary Serena Womack (Riley Reid) having sex. Upon introducing herself, Aaron escorts her out of the room and bluntly tells Kenneth that this whole country thing is getting out of hand, citing several new laws he made with Serena’s help.

That’s just it, Aaron says. It was nice when the two worked together, now Kenneth is trying to channel the worst tendencies of dictators. Kenneth counters by saying that all the women in Thistopia, sans Margaret, want to do him. Mentally burnt out, Aaron tells him to forget it and slams the door in him. He comes up to Brody, asking if he has a gun. He’s starting to think Margaret was talking some sense.

Aaron enters Dave’s house, finding that Mando has been arrested for reading a book made in America, and obtains a gun from Dave. He heads to the bathroom, unlocking the door before immediately closing it when he finds Margaret dry-humping a bar of soap. Charlize escapes the bathroom and bolts to the kitchen to get some beer, rambling about how Margaret introduced her to this ‘new world’. Horrified, Aaron tells Charlize that she may be getting an addiction, only for her to flip him off and tell him to go back to his friend.

After a few hours of contemplation, Aaron indeed goes back to Kenneth’s house, only to find him in an argument with now clearly wasted Charlize. Kenneth tells Charlize that she broke all the laws of Thistopia, but Charlize insists that he keeps changing the rules. Before the argument can get physical, Charlize proceeds to vomit on Kenneth and passes out. Horrified, Aaron calls an ambulance to take Charlize to a hospital. She later dies due to an overdose.

Outside the hospital, Kenneth smirks, stating that Charlize got what she deserved. In a rage, Aaron tells Kenneth that he’s lost the plot with all of this and quits being Thistopia’s vice president. Kenneth remains calm, however, claiming that once you’re a part of Thistopia, you can’t go back.

The next day, Kenneth gives a speech from his backyard, declaring that he has fired all members of his cabinet, claiming them to be traitors. Serena is then introduced as the new vice president and the two proceed to make out in front of everyone. In Dave’s house, Aaron calls a meeting with the now-fired group and tells them they must teach Kenneth a lesson on history. Mando offers to provide the group with war tactics used in prior wars in world history, but Dave warns them that Thistopia is too big at this point to handle on their own. Brody raises his hand, stating they might not need to worry about that, opening the door and revealing hundreds of men and women, all with a weapon of choice.

After a day of planning, Aaron, his army, and the police storm Kenneth’s house, Aaron holds a megaphone up, telling the people of Thistopia that they have been duped. Kenneth is not a leader, he is a monster who reacts without reason or logic. Unfortunately for him, the people of Thistopia have grown so attached to Kenneth, that they heckle him mercilessly. Kenneth opens his window, telling Serena that if he doesn’t make it, he can have his FunkoPops.

From there, the two groups of people clash, thousands upon thousands of people beating each other up. Brody and his Wild Animalz lead the charge, bashing any old man they see with a baseball bat. They stop however when Serena, unwilling to see the damage caused by this, attempts to distract them by flashing her chest. Dave, seeing this, tells them to forget the girl and go for the others.

Kenneth and Aaron continue to go at each other as the rest of the gangs fight one another. This takes us back to where we started as Kenneth lands a punch smack dab on Aaron’s jaw. Kenneth steps up to Aaron, declaring that he will start a genocide of the American people, starting with Aaron. After saying this, Kenneth grabs a knife from his pocket and appears ready to stab Aaron…

Only to be shot in the head by his sister Margaret, who is relieved to finally have some peace and quiet for her splitting headache. Silence falls as the ‘residents’ of Thistopia circle their former leader, crying hysterically. Margaret shrugs lackadaisically, stating that everyone was pissing her off before an officer takes her in handcuffs.

Aaron, Mando, Dave, and Brody stare at all of the carnage, mortified by it all. Aaron steps up to Kenneth, picking up his lifeless hand and asking him why he’d have to take it so far. A private funeral is held several days later between just Aaron, Dave, Brody, and Serena (who writes a note asking if Brody wants to hang out tomorrow).

The film cuts to black as the ghost of Kenneth Fuller tells the audience that they watched an absolute fuckwit running a country. He mentions that throughout time, there have been people like him that have lucked or forced their way into becoming leaders. Unlike most of them, he was honest. And people still followed him. Why?

“Because at the end of the day, some of us are just dicks.”

Release: Task Force X: Jungleland

Task Force X: Jungleland
Genre: Action/Superhero
Director: Guy Ritchie
Writer: Jimmy Ellis
Based on DC Comics characters
Cast: John David Washington, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Halle Berry, Karl Glusman, Rose Leslie, Okieriete Onaodowan, Cristin Milioti, Gustaf Skarsgard, Scott Adkins, Oscar Jaenada, Josh Holloway

Budget: $180,000,000
Domestic Box Office: $291,485,040
Foreign Box Office: $318,583,995
Total Profit: $200,105,777

Reaction: The numbers were slightly down across the board in this one, which could easily be chalked up to missing some of the recognizable faces of the second film (like the Joker). The slightly lower box office coupled with a slightly higher budget, did result in the lowest profits of the series. That said, it was still wildly successful.

"It was nice to see Gugu Mbatha-Raw's Vixen back on the big screen after a long time away. Her personality felt a bit more realized this time around, even if Task Force X: Jungleland is little more than an excuse to have action sequences featuring as many DC villains as possible. Three films in now and I still feel like I know nothing about John David Washington's Black Spider, despite his ascension to star of the series. Meanwhile, Jason Mantzoukas brings some fun to an underwritten villain role." - Bobbie Gray-Smith, Sacramento Bee

"This film effectively utilizes Vixen, which is a refreshing change. It provides substantial character development and isn't shy about placing characters in challenging situations. The innovative storytelling approach of this series is impressive, with John David and Gugu Mbatha-Raw standing out as a compelling lead duo. All in all, it's another outstanding addition to Task Force X." - Austin Gabe, Dallas-Herald Chronicle

"The most fun part of these Task Force X films is to see the combination of villains writer Jimmy Ellis and director Guy Ritchie choose to utilize. This film's lineup is actually pretty strong, with the team having less redundancies in terms of personality and powers than in previous films. The action in this one is pretty bonkers as well, resulting in a highly entertaining film." - Dave Manning, Ridgefield Press

Rated PG-13 for intense action violence and some language

Writer: Jimmy Ellis
Based on DC Comics characters
Cast: John David Washington, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Halle Berry, Karl Glusman, Rose Leslie, Okieriete Onaodowan, Cristin Milioti, Gustaf Skarsgard, Scott Adkins, Oscar Jaenada, Josh Holloway

Plot: Congo Rainforest
A group of DEO soldiers close in on a drug shipment camp in the jungle, the squad leader, Eric Needham (John David Washington) takes out armed guards. One plants a bomb near a truck while the others take out more guards. The explosion goes off and they storm the main base. The leader goes commando and kills everyone in sight. They close in on a caged shipment and open it, revealing a masked humanoid Crocodile (Okrietiete Onaodowan) tied up in chains and a body cast, the leader takes off his mask, “Black Spider to HQ, call Waller”.

Amanda Waller (Halle Berry) arrives via helicopter to an unknown location. As she gets off the helicopter she can see destruction all around her, cracks in the ground. She walks toward a village, when a woman runs up to her at quick speed. It is revealed to be Mari McCabe (Gugu Mbatha-Raw). She stands her ground asking why Waller is there. Waller tells her that she is here to help. Mari looks to her, she has heard of Waller and knows that she does not offer help for no reason. Waller tells her that she will help Zambesi recover from the recent earthquake if the Vixen helps her out on a little mission. Waller continues saying it would not be far from where they are now. Mari looks around at the destruction saying that she has to be with her people. Waller understands but assures her the help will be worth it. Vixen eventually agrees to join Waller. Waller then receives a phone call from Black Spider telling her they are ready. Waller yells out to Mari telling her they need to go, now.

Needham sits at the camp as the soldiers wheel the crocodile out of the box. Amanda Waller lands in a helicopter, she approaches Needham who stands. She walks with him commending him on a job well done. He asks when they leave this place as the job is done. Waller stops and tells him the job is far from over, they just needed the croc for the team. “The Team?” Waller tells him that the crocodile was a side mission. She has a doctor walk behind the crocodile and implants him with the bomb in his neck. Waller and Needham stand in front of Croc as she explains who the Croc is, “Waylon Jones, but in Gotham they call him Killer Croc. Born with a skin disease that made him look scaly, he took to a life of crime for a short while until being captured by terrorists and was going to be auctioned to the highest bidder. But I’d rather not pay.” Waller has the muzzle taken off, Waylon Jones greets the two of them with a snarl, before he begins to say he has heard about Waller and her little team, he looks forward to meeting them.

Waller tells Needham that he will be leading one of two teams, he calls upon Vixen. She tells Needham that Vixen here will be leading the other. She says that if either of them die their whole team dies, before walking away. Vixen is shocked asking what she means. Needham laughs, he tells her that Waller is one sick son of a bitch. He explains, they work with the worst of the worst to take on suicide missions, or things that Waller just wants to throw at them. Waller comes back and sees Vixen’s face asking if there is a problem. Vixen shakes her head saying she will do anything to help Zambesi. Waller hands the two of them their teams in a portfolio.

Waller tells Vixen that her team is to take down a Gorilla known as Titano. “A gorilla?” Waller stays stone faced. She says that this gorilla has been enhanced by a mad scientist using Kryptonite. This gorilla is dangerous. She runs down her team list as they step off a helicopter; Pamela Isley (Rose Leslie), aka Poison Ivy. She will come in handy here in the jungle and has a feeling her and Vixen will get along, The Green and the Red. Next, Gar Lynns (Karl Glusman), Firefly, Needham leans over and wishes her luck, he’s hot-headed. Lisa Rory (Cristin Milioti), The Golden Glider, Waller tells Vixen that Firefly killed her brother, she does not know this, she asks Vixen to keep it this way. And finally, Eduardo Flamingo (Oscar Jaenada), a not so master assassin. She adds that other agencies may be after Titano as well, if it comes to it, they must be taken down, they do not want Titano to end up in the wrong hands.

Next up, Needham. She tells him that his team is to destroy all paperwork on Titano and to take out lead scientist, Dr Moyes. They have his location and she says that he is leading a team of trained killers. She tells him that it will be himself, Killer Croc and (as they step off the helicopter); Victor Zsasz (Gustaf Skarsgard), psychopathic killer, has scars for every person he has killed, and Constantine Drakon (Scott Adkins), skilled martial artist and with all weapons. Waller wishes them luck as she boards a helicopter to take off. She throws them a watch each, “oh and one more thing, blow off their heads if you need to.” All members of the teams look at her as if she is crazy.

Zsasz immediately walks over to Flamingo, sizing him up in his pink uniform. Zsasz pretends to lunge at him with a knife causing Flamingo to jump in fright. Zsasz laughs and Needham shakes his head. Needham and Vixen decide to head off straight away and not wait for somebody else to find Titano.

Vixen leads her team further into the rainforest, Ivy walks close by her, while Lynns and Rory walk together. Lynns tries to flirt with her saying that this isn’t his first mission, he’s done Waller’s dirty work before. Rory smiles and says that her brother was a part of the team too. She asks if Lynns knew him, Mick? Lynns is shocked to learn that she is Mick’s sister but his shock turns to sorrow as he says that he did, they became close in the end, they shared a bond. He then grabs out his fire gun and places a small piece of the forest on fire, a controlled fire if you will. Suddenly vines begin to come out and wrap Lynns up in it. Ivy berates him for treating the forest like something less. Lynns apologises as a vine begins to cover his mouth. Vixen yells at Ivy to stop, as does Rory. Rory ensure Ivy that she will make sure he doesn’t do it again. Ivy nods, and lets the vines go. Trailing behind them by a fair distance is Flamingo. He yells out to the guys to wait, but he hears something in the trees beside him. He screams out that there is something with them. Vixen senses it too, a monkey. Coming out of the trees is what looks like a dwarfed gorilla. Flamingo looks at it saying it is so cute. Suddenly the gorilla grows giant. Vixen yells out to Flamingo to run, everyone else does but for Flamingo it is too late, Titano steps on Flamingo. Firefly flies, Ivy uses her vines to get in the air, Rory skates in mid air and Vixen embodies a cheetah, to run faster than them all. Ivy eventually stops and calls for the green to help them. She raises vines to surround Titano into a ball and keep him trapped for the time being, she tells them it won’t last long so they better regroup and figure out a way to defeat Titano.

Needham leads his team through the jungle. They reach a research facility and stake it out. The 4 of them see armed soldiers walking through the base and see a scientist pulled out of the lab. They can see from the photo given to them by Waller that it is Dr Moyes (Jason Mantzoukas). Zsasz says that they can just let these guys kill Moyes. Drakon reminds him that they need to destroy the evidence and the only way to get to the evidence is Moyes. They wait for an opening, however Croc decides to just charge on in. He catches a guard that is alone and rips him limb from limb. The other three then jump into action. Zsasz runs on the top of a Humvee, and dives off stabbing two guards. Drakon uses his martial arts to unarm one of the soldiers he then picks up the gun and begins hunting people down. Needham takes a more stealthy approach and takes guards down quietly. He, however, does not see a soldier in the distance that has his gun aimed to shoot. Croc chomps the arm off, leading to Needham to look over, nodding to Croc. After they have dispatched the soldiers, they help Moyes to his feet, Zsasz is carving tallies into his skin. Moyes is still scared and asks what they want. Needham tells him that they are going to destroy everything that ascertains to Titano. Moyes agrees saying the subject got out of hand. He leads them into the lab where many different animals are in cages being tested on.

Inside the lab, Needham's team sees various animals confined in cages, subjected to experimentation. Moyes explains that the project got out of hand and they were trying to harness the power of Kryptonite for military purposes. Needham orders Moyes to retrieve all the research data and destroy it. As Moyes frantically searches for the files, Zsasz watches him with an unsettling grin, tallying his scars. Needham keeps a close eye on the surroundings, knowing that they might encounter more resistance. Suddenly, alarms blare throughout the facility, indicating an imminent breach. Needham and his team exchange worried glances as they prepare for an incoming threat. The doors burst open, and a group of heavily armed mercenaries storms in, led by the mercenary named Eddie Fyers (Josh Holloway). Fyers' team immediately opens fire, engaging in a fierce firefight with Needham's squad.

The intense battle ensues, with bullets flying and explosions rocking the lab. Drakon's exceptional martial arts skills prove crucial as he takes down several mercenaries with precise strikes and agile maneuvers. Zsasz, fueled by his twisted obsession, fights with a deranged ferocity, carving his signature tally marks into the bodies of his fallen foes.

Meanwhile, Croc charges at the mercenaries, his massive strength and razor-sharp teeth tearing through their ranks. Needham, utilizing his tactical expertise, coordinates their defense, directing his team to strategic positions while exchanging gunfire with Eddie Fyers. The clash between these skilled combatants becomes a personal duel, each determined to outmaneuver and outsmart the other.

Amidst the chaos, Moyes manages to retrieve the vital research data and initiates the destruction protocol. Explosions ripple through the lab as the facility crumbles around them. Needham's team fights their way toward the exit, leaving a trail of defeated enemies in their wake.

Just as they reach the extraction point outside the crumbling facility, Fyers emerges from the wreckage, wounded but still formidable. Needham and Fyers lock eyes, a silent understanding passing between them—an acknowledgment of each other's skills and determination. Needham and Fyers go toe to toe. The two of them are evenly matched in the fight, with Fyers gaining the upper hand. Needham manages to come back though and in doing so kills Fyers.

As the dust settles, they regroup and assess the aftermath. The lab is destroyed, evidence obliterated, and Fyers vanquished. Needham and his team, knowing the mission is far from over, set their sights on their next objective—reuniting with Vixen and her team to take down the colossal threat of Titano and prevent it from falling into the wrong hands.

Vixen and her team gather in a hidden base deep within the rainforest. They regroup after their encounter with the colossal Titano, who is still temporarily trapped by Ivy's plant-based restraints. Vixen and her squad discuss their next move, devising a plan to defeat the enhanced gorilla before their time runs out.

Ivy, utilizing her connection with the Green, suggests using her plant-based abilities to weaken Titano's Kryptonite-enhanced physiology. She believes that by neutralizing the effects of the Kryptonite, they can level the playing field and increase their chances of success. Vixen agrees, acknowledging Ivy's expertise and the advantage her powers can bring to the mission.

Meanwhile, the ground begins to tremble, indicating that Titano's strength is growing, and Ivy's plant restraints are beginning to weaken. Time becomes of the essence, and the squad realizes they must act swiftly to prevent disaster.

Vixen instructs Firefly to create a diversion, drawing Titano's attention away from the rest of the team. Firefly eagerly obliges, unleashing a barrage of fiery projectiles that soar through the air, captivating Titano's gaze. The massive gorilla breaks free from Ivy's weakened restraints, now fully enraged and charging towards Firefly.

As Titano charges, Vixen activates her animal-mimicking abilities, channeling the strength and agility of a lioness. She leaps into action, her enhanced physical attributes enabling her to move swiftly and evade Titano's devastating strikes. With calculated precision, she lands a series of powerful blows on the massive gorilla, momentarily staggering him.

Seizing the opportunity, Poison Ivy harnesses her botanical powers to create a dense thicket of entangling vines, ensnaring Titano's limbs and restricting his movements. The Green responds to her call, strengthening the vines and further impeding the enraged creature.

Golden Glider uses her respective skills to distract Titano and deliver swift attacks. Golden Glider's agility allows her to dodge the giant primate's strikes while launching razor-sharp projectiles, temporarily freezing portions of Titano's body.

Together, the team works in harmony, utilizing their unique abilities to chip away at Titano's strength and endurance. Each member showcases their skills, adapting to the chaotic battlefield and finding innovative ways to exploit the gorilla's weaknesses.

Despite their efforts, Titano proves to be an indomitable adversary. His massive size and Kryptonite-enhanced powers pose a significant challenge. As the battle intensifies, Vixen realizes they need a decisive plan to defeat the seemingly unstoppable force.

In a moment of inspiration, Vixen suggests combining their powers and coordinating a synchronized attack. She directs Ivy to use her plant-based control to immobilize Titano temporarily, while Firefly uses his fiery projectiles to create a wall of flames, engulfing the massive creature.

With the flames acting as a temporary barrier, Golden Glider seizes the opportunity to deliver precise strikes to Titano's weak points, targeting vulnerable areas with their weapons. Their coordinated assault weakens the creature, causing him to falter and lose his balance.

Capitalizing on this momentary vulnerability, Vixen channels the strength and agility of a gorilla, matching Titano blow for blow. With a ferocious final attack, she lands a powerful strike that sends Titano crashing to the ground, defeated.

As Vixen and her team regroup, they are caught off guard when Titano begins to stir, his massive form twitching with renewed energy. The tranquilizer's effect wears off faster than anticipated, and the gorilla's eyes open, glowing with an unsettling red hue.

Realizing the imminent danger, Vixen quickly assesses the situation and devises a new plan. She signals her team to surround Titano, preparing for a direct confrontation. Firefly activates his flamethrowers, creating a wall of fire to keep Titano at bay temporarily. Golden Glider harnesses her advanced technology, creating icy constructs to freeze Titano's movements.

At the same time, Needham and his team rush to Vixen's side, recognizing the urgent need for combined firepower. Killer Croc lunges at Titano, using his immense strength and razor-sharp teeth to tear into the gorilla's thick hide. Zsasz unleashes a flurry of deadly knife strikes, aiming for Titano's vulnerable spots with surgical precision. Drakon showcases his martial arts expertise, delivering lightning-fast strikes that leave a lasting impact on the formidable creature.

Drakon, Zsasz, and Firefly find themselves locked in a fierce struggle, facing the full fury of Titano's onslaught. Drakon's martial arts skills and Zsasz's lethal precision manage to keep the creature momentarily at bay, but the gorilla's overwhelming strength proves to be too much. He picks up both Drakon and Zsasz and with a quick thud, Titano smashes their heads together and drop them to the ground.

In a desperate move, Firefly unleashes a massive burst of flames, creating a fiery barrier that shields his teammates and provides a momentary respite. As the flames engulf him, Firefly realizes that this sacrifice might be his only chance to protect his companions and complete the mission.

Golden Glider, witnessing Firefly's selfless act, is filled with a mix of gratitude and sorrow. She realizes that he's given her an opportunity to survive and fulfill her own purpose within the team. Determined to honor Firefly's sacrifice, she rallies her remaining strength and focuses her constructs on weakening Titano even further.

The combined efforts of Black Spider, Vixen, Poison Ivy, Killer Croc, and Golden Glider intensify. They launch a relentless assault, exploiting Titano's weakened state. The team channels all their remaining power, striking with unwavering determination.

Eventually, Titano succumbs to the relentless onslaught. With a final powerful blow from Vixen, the mighty gorilla collapses, defeated and unconscious. The battle is won, but the cost has been high.

In the aftermath of the intense battle with Titano, the jungle is shrouded in an eerie silence. The remaining members of the Suicide Squad stand amidst the wreckage, their faces etched with exhaustion and sorrow.

Vixen, Poison Ivy, and Killer Croc survey the scene, their eyes lingering on the fallen bodies of their fallen comrades—Drakon, Zsasz, and Firefly.

Golden Glider, still reeling from the shock of Firefly's heroic sacrifice, kneels beside his lifeless form. Tears stream down her face as she tenderly places a hand on his charred armor, her voice choked with grief. She whispers words of gratitude and farewell, promising to carry his memory with her always.

They all board the helicopter, Vixen and Needham sit next to each other, legs swinging out of the chopper as they look down at the Congo Rainforest. The chopper lands in Zambesi, Vixen leaves the chopper, but before she does she turns back to ask Waller when she should be expecting the help her people desperately need. Waller asks he what help. Vixen begins to anger saying they had a deal. Waller simply states she remembers no such deal. Golden Glider, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy and finally Black Spider all stand and stare Waller down. She ends up giving into the 5 of them and tells Vixen she can be expecting aid shortly. Vixen looks to Needham and nods before leaving.

LRF COMIC-CON (SEASON 28)

Welcome to the 12th Official Last Resort Films Comic-Con! This season, we have exclusive news and behind-the-scenes information on six upcoming LRF releases for Season 28....

Round 1 - Task Force X: Jungleland
The first comic book film of Season 28 will also be the debut release of the season. We already know the bulk of the cast for the film and that Guy Ritchie (Paki, Task Force X: Chaos and Madness) is once again set to direct this third film in the Task Force X series. So for this Comic-Con panel, we have an early look at the final poster for the film.

Round 3 - Red Wolf: Wanderer
With the surprise success and acclaim of the Marvel Universe Native American action film Red Wolf back in Season 21, it was only a matter of time for a sequel. Billy Bob Thornton won the Best Villain GRA trophy for his role in that film, leaving big shoes to fill for the villain(s) of the sequel. That task has been assigned to Jeremy Strong (Fractured, "Succession) and Kristen Bell (Numero Uno, American Psycho the Musical). They will play siblings - Jack and Sonja Day - that are a reimagining of the Marvel Comics character Jackson Day / The Corrupter. Tatanka Means (Red Wolf, Pocahontas) is seemingly set to reprise the title role, but not much else is known about the film.

Round 4 - The Spectre
In a surprise DC Comics Universe announcement, Nicolas Cage (Tomato Can, Carpenter) has been cast in the title role of a film based on the supernatural hero, The Spectre. Cage will play Jim Corrigan, a murdered police detective given supernatural abilities to get revenge. No word yet on a director, but we do know that the film was written by John Malone (Namor the Sub-Mariner: Imperius Rex, Carte Blanche).

Round 5 - The Immortal Iron Fist
In another major hero casting announcement, Australian heart-throb Luke Bracey (Missing Men, Maybe I Do) has been cast as Danny Rand / Iron Fist in a film adaptation. Like Luke Cage: Power Man, the film will be set in the 1970s. Along with the casting announcement, we have a look at some of the poster artwork that Bracey is posing in front of. Also like Luke Cage: Power Man, the film hails from writers Jimmy Ellis & Dwight Gallo (Particle, Territory).

Round 6 - Nick Fury and His Howling Commandos
Jay Ellis (Top Gun: Maverick, "Insecure") has reportedly beaten out several other up-and-coming actors for the role of a young Nick Fury (played by Denzel Washington in The Invincible Iron Man) in a prequel film covering Fury's days with his famed military group - Nick Fury and His Howling Commandos. Decades after turning down the job of directing Spider-Man for Sony, Roland Emmerich (Blood in the Water, Moonfall) is also on hand for today's Comic-Con having signed on to direct the film.

Round 10 - Superman: Exile
Hot off his Best Villain GRA nomination for Pompeii, Eric Bana (Pompeii, The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands) has been cast in a mystery role in the third Superman film from director Jeff Nichols (Judas Iscariot, The Void) and writer John Malone (Namor the Sub-Mariner: Imperius Rex, Carte Blanche) - Superman: Exile. While we don't know who Bana will play yet, we do have a look at the film's poster in addition to the announcement of Bana's addition to the cast.

And that's a wrap on the Season 28 LRF Comic-Con! Season 28 will begin on October 23rd.
