Last Resort Films has just reached an agreement with Microsoft and Bungie, Inc. to produce a film based on the Halo video game series. The studio has brought on producer Charles Roven (The Dark Knight trilogy, Warcraft) to help lead the project along with director Gareth Edwards (Godzilla, Rogue One), who was hired based on his background in special effects. No word on casting yet, but the film is rapidly prepping pre-production and building sets in Vancouver.
