In Development

The Question: John Malkovich (Deepwater Horizon, RED) and Ray Winstone (Noah, The Gunman) have joined Ryan Gosling and Christina Hendricks the cast of the DC Comics adaptation, The Question. Malkovich will play the corrupt mayor of Hub City, Wesley Fermin. Winstone will play Reverend Hatch, a powerful figure of corruption in the city with the mayor under his control.

The Child Martyr: Anthony Hopkins (Thor: Ragnarok, Hitchcock) has joined the cast of the Mo Buck-penned and Jean-Marc Vallee-directed film as the local small town priest who counsels the characters, with less than ideal results. Originally John Malkovich was in negotiations for the role, but had to drop out of the talks due to scheduling conflicts with The Question.

101: The ensemble of Denis Villeneuve's new thriller, 101, has grown with the additions of Jon Hamm (Baby Driver, Flicker) and James McAvoy (X-Men: Apocalypse, Split). Hamm will play Hugh Jackman's hotheaded police partner and McAvoy will play the villain, a criminal on a rampage.

Eclipse: Alexandre Aja's China-set vampire film has cast the primary figures in a war between two vampire sects. Fan Bingbing (Skip Trace, X-Men: Days of Future Past) will play Ling, the leader of vampires who do not drink human blood. Daniel Wu (Warcraft, "Into the Badlands") will play Fang, a warlord who becomes a vampire with no problem feeding on humans. Donnie Yen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, xXx: Return of Xander Cage) will play one of Ling's soldiers.

Mona Lisa: Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler, Iron Man 2) has landed the male lead opposite Penelope Cruz in Mona Lisa, written by APJ. He will play a recently released ex-convict who is given a job driving and protecting a prostitute (Cruz). Antonio Campos (Simon Killer, Christine) has been hired to direct the film which is set to start shooting in South Florida and Puerto Rico.

And Then There Were None:
Joe Wright and James Morgan's adaptation of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None is shaping up to be a very British affair. Kate Beckinsale (Underworld: Blood Wars, Total Recall), Emily Blunt (Sicario, Invisible Monsters) and Paul Bettany (Avengers: Age of Ultron, "Manhunt: Unabomber") have joined the film. Beckinsale will play Ethel Rogers, cook/housekeeper of the island estate that provides the setting. Blunt will play Vera Claythorne, one of the guests. Bettany will play Dr. Armstrong, another guest.
