Resume: Ryan Gosling

Ryan Gosling is notoriously picky about his projects, but he has appeared in six projects for Last Resort Films with a seventh about to hit theaters. That film, The Killings marks his first lead role since Season 7 and his first LRF appearance since Season 10. In this latest edition of Resume, we will take a look at the filmography of this reluctant A-lister....

Gosling made his first LRF appearance in the Ayn Rand adaptation, The Fountainhead, from stylish action director Zack Snyder. Just a season later, Gosling took on dual roles as Tender and Adam Branson in the adaptation of Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk's controversial novel. While the film wasn't a hit at the box office, it did score strong critical notices and led to Ryan Gosling's first GRA nomination (sharing a Best Starring Couple nomination with his co-star Rooney Mara).

Season 7
The Question: The End

Gosling once again returned to the big screen as the superhero, The Question, for a third film. Just like the first two films, it did well at the box office and with critics. For his performance in the film (and his strong chemistry with Christina Hendricks), Gosling earned his second GRA nomination for Best Starring Couple (sharing the nomination with Hendricks).

Season 10
Justice League International
Director: Michael Bay
Writers: APJ, D.R. Cobb & Chad Taylor

Budget: $270,000,000
Domestic Box Office: $729,558,298
Foreign Box Office: $794,211,348
Total Profit: $606,728,031

After a few seasons away, Gosling appeared in a small, but pivotal role once again as the Question in the massive DC Comics Universe team-up film: Justice League International. The Question's appearance in the film was kept as a surprise to audiences prior to the film's release. The film was a massive hit at the box office, becoming the highest grossing film in the history of LRF.

Up Next: Following his starring role in The Killings, Gosling doesn't have a lot of work lined up. He is in talks to appear in a future drama, but that may not hit screens until Season 18. Gosling has also been rumored to potentially reprise his role of The Question in a future DC Comics Universe film.
