“Roy Horne is one of the very best writers here at LRF and he proves it once more here with The Hammer of Thor: The Frost War. While at first I did not agree with sidelining Thor for the first act - I understood why it was done. It allowed for the other characters to truly shine before Thor came back into play. Sam Riley once again shows that he needs some more roles in LRF delivering as Loki. On the same level as the last - Horne shows that Marvel’s Thor is in great hands here at LRF.” - Terry Setev, The Bateau Gazette

"While The Hammer of Thor: The Frost War rarely pauses to catch its breath, its sheer operatic scope commands admiration. Roar Uthaug directs with the steady hand of a Norse historian channeling Wagner, elevating this saga with glacial grandeur, soaring tragedy, and unexpectedly poignant reflections on legacy, family, and fate. Channing Tatum, while never quite achieving the godly gravitas one associates with the role, nonetheless captures the aching weariness of a warrior reborn. Yet, the film’s true soul lies in its quieter moments - Jane’s dreams, Frigga’s grief, and Loki’s wry, wounded return." - Charles Elberton, The Daily Planet Arts Review

"The Frost War slaps harder than Mjolnir in a thunderstorm. Roar Uthaug cranks up the epic with ice giants, Valkyrie beast-riders, seidr spells, and Channing Tatum’s jacked Viking Thor going full myth-mode. This ain’t your MCU Thor - it’s king Thor with a Norse-metal soundtrack vibe. The reunion with Phoebe Dynevor’s Jane adds emotional weight without veering into cheese, and Caitriona Balfe’s Amora is gorgeously wicked. But it’s Sam Riley’s Loki who steals it - snarky, tragic, unpredictable as ever. The whole third act vs. Ymir is a God of War-level boss fight. A bold, snowy fantasy ride that feels like a mash-up of Lord of the Rings, The Northman, and vintage Thor comics. Bring on Surtr." - Ben Mazur, SciFiNow

Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of fantasy violence, some language, and thematic elements
