Reaction: It's hard to see exactly where this one went wrong, but it may come down to a lack of an audience for the film. Had the film come around 10-15 years ago when the property was still fresh in the public consciousness the film may have had a better chance.

"I guess I'm confused as to who this film is intended for. The film tries to revive a 20 year old cartoon for new young audiences, but fills it with big names and scenes for the older fans who are now adults probably not out to see family films." - Ken Hammerschmidt, Washington Post

"The cartoon's style doesn't quite translate to the big screen, or at least Paul King does not have the visual flair to pull off the visual panache of Craig McCracken's animation." - Wayne Heathcliff, Kansas City Star

"Is it cheesy? Absolutely, but I think that's what director Paul King and writer Chad Taylor are going for here - good cheesy fun for the whole family. They hit their mark with this one." - Heather Walters, Miami Herald

Rated PG for cartoonish violence and scenes of peril
