Last Resort Films is thrilled to officially unveil Mystery Incorporated, a bold new chapter in the Scooby-Doo legacy—and this time, the gang’s all grown up. Billy Magnussen, riding high after his breakout as Booster Gold, has optioned the live-action rights to the iconic franchise and is teaming up with Game Night masterminds John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein to bring it roaring back to life.
Set twenty years after their last unmasking, Mystery Incorporated sees Fred, Daphne, Velma, and Shaggy reuniting in Crystal Cove for their high school reunion. But when a beloved teacher vanishes under suspicious circumstances, old instincts kick in—and with the help of Scooby-Doo Jr., the crew sets out to crack one final case.
Magnussen is circling the role of Fred and is actively involved in shaping the film’s tone—a vibrant collision of comedy and high-stakes action, tailored for both new fans and nostalgic grown-ups. “We’re evolving it. This is about friendship, failure, and figuring out who you are when the mystery ends.”
With Daley and Goldstein officially in the director’s chairs, expect whip-smart humor, kinetic storytelling, and just the right dose of chaos. This is Scooby-Doo for the Game Night generation.
At Last Resort Films, we believe in storytelling that bridges generations—and Mystery Incorporated is shaping up to be just that: heartfelt, hilarious, and full of haunted hallways.
Jinkies, it's happening.
