The Fantastic Four: Rounding out the cast of the latest Marvel Universe entry will be Orlando Bloom (Uncharted 2, Invisible Monsters), Robert Patrick (Hunter, Silver Surfer) and Aksel Hennie (The Martian, The Cloverfield Paradox). Bloom will play Lateverian royalty and billionaire technology mogul Victor Von Doom. Patrick will reprise his role from the first Silver Surfer film as Admiral Westbrook. Hennie, meanwhile, will play the insectoid alien overlord of the Negative Zone, Annihilus. Gareth Edwards is directing the film from a script by Mark Newton.
Bunker 17: Another upcoming film has rounded out its cast with Bunker 17 adding John Carroll Lynch (Born in Brooklyn, Doctor Love), David Dastmalchian (Control, Plastic Man), Jonathan Majors (Captive State, "The Controllers") and Kris Kristofferson (Blaze, "Texas Rising"). Lynch will play the bunker's food coordinator, Dastmalchian will play the assistant director of the bunker, Majors will play the director's personal assistant, while Kristofferson will play the mentor of the bunker's head of security (Walton Goggins). Francis Lawrence is directing the film based on an original story by GRA-winning duo Jimmy Ellis and John Malone.
The Little Girl Who Was Too Fond of Matches: Darren Aronofsky (Shogun, Mother!) is back to work for LRF after 10 seasons away. He will direct a new film written by Mo Buck (And the Birds Rained Down, A Reputation) and Harry Wright (The Nickel Boys, Tales of Skyrim: Stormcloak), which itself is an adaptation of the novel by GaƩtan Soucy. The film will star Mackenzie Foy (Born in Brooklyn, The Crucible), Viggo Mortensen (Tenth Circle, Into Thin Air) and Cameron Monaghan (Julie, Elysian). Foy and Monaghan play two siblings raised under the domineering hand of their father, played by Viggo Mortensen.
The Flash: There will be another superhero on the DC Comics Universe block in the form of the Flash. After a long search for a leading man, Dave Franco (Zombielove, Life of a Champion) has finally signed on to play the titular hero in the film, marking his first major leading role for the studio. Lily James (The Phantom of the Opera, Orchid) and recent Best Actor GRA-winner Ben Foster (Halo 6, Resident Evil) have also signed on to the film. James will play Franco's love interest, while Foster will play the film's primary villain. Jonathan Levine (Long Shot, Snatched) makes his first directorial effort for the studio with the film, which was written by Giovanni Garcia (Circumstances of Time, Zombielove).
Oklahoma!: Billy Magnussen (Booster Gold: The Mutation), Florence Pugh (A Lost Sense of Heaven, Red Farm) and Adam Driver (The Stand, Sinkhole) will have to get their singing voices ready as they have been cast in a new adaptation of the musical Oklahoma!, one which reportedly takes a page from the recent Broadway production. Magnussen will play cowboy Curly McLain, Pugh will play the female lead Laurey, while Driver has been cast as farmhand Jud Fry. Director Damien Chazelle (American Playboy, First Man) returns to work for the studio for the first time since Season 3's American Playboy to direct the film. Chad Taylor (Misfit, A Lost Sense of Heaven) has penned the adaptation.
The Champions of Angor: Another new DC Comics film is on the way in the first half of Season 16, which will serve as something of a follow-up to Justice League Europe. Joel Edgerton (Justice League Europe, Nexus), Alicia Vikander (Mass Effect 3 - Part 2, Justice League Europe) and Amanda Seyfried (The Powerpuff Girls, Justice League Europe) have signed on to star in the film, reprising their roles as Rocket Red, Crimson Fox and Power Girl, repsectively. Gore Verbinski (Gargoyles, A Cure for Wellness) has signed on to direct the film, based on a script by Dominic Wilkins (Justice League Europe, The Stranger) and Harry Wright (The Nickel Boys, Justice League Europe).
