The Curse of Janara: Patricia Clarkson (Suzanne, Swim Through the Darkness), Alison Brie (Circumstances of Time, Alex + Ada) and David Giuntoli (Wishmaster, "A Million Little Things") have signed on to the cast of the Colin Trevorrow-helmed supernatural horror film, The Curse of Janara. They will all play residents of a small North Dakota town dealing with supernatural occurences. Andrew Doster penned the film.

Risico: Dan Stevens' 007 will meet his first Bond Girl in the form of Italian actress Matilda De Angelis ("Leonardo", "The Undoing") who will aid him his first MI6 mission. Also joining the film will by Sally Hawkins (Revelations, Orchid) and Himesh Patel (Don't Look Up, Tenet). Hawkins will play the head of a leading humanitarian organization, while Patel will play this series' version of Q. Christopher Nolan is directing the film based on a script by John Malone.

L.A. Rex: Ben McKenzie (Still Lives, "Gotham"), Jharrel Jerome (Moonlight, Concrete Cowboy), O'Shea Jackson (Ranger, Just Mercy) and Simu Liu ("Kim's Convenience", Women Is Losers) have all signed on to join the Benicio del Toro and Aaron Taylor-Johnson led cop thriller L.A. Rex. Jerome and Jackson Jr. will play gangsters, McKenzie will play an LAPD patrolman and Liu will play a detective. Gavin O'Connor is handling the directing duties on the film. Wesley Campbell penned the adaptation based on a novel by Will Beall.

The World: Done to Death: Jeff Kober (Leave No Trace, "General Hospital"), Rene Russo (The Raven, Velvet Buzzsaw) and Benedict Samuel (Sweetheart, The Duel) have signed on to the cast of Mike Flanagan's latest film. They will all play survivors in a post-apocalyptic zombie landscape. Jimmy Ellis wrote the script of the film.

Photographs: Emma Roberts (The Stand, Holidate) will make her first LRF appearance since her Best Actress GRA-nominated performance in The Stand, headlining a new horror project from writer Ben Collins (Shouts from the Well, Care of Death) and directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett (Ready or Not, Devil's Due). She will be joined by in the ensemble cast by Boyd Holbrook (Death in the Shadows, Blackwater), Jack O'Connell (Morrisey and Marr, Asylum) and Jack Lowden (Morrissey and Marr, Capone).

Wish You Were Here: Joe Wright (Radisson, The Queen of the Night) has been hired to direct a remake/reimagining of the 2012 Australia drama/mystery film, Wish You Were Here. Idris Elba (The Great Beyond, Mr. Earthling), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Walker, Vixen: The Totems of Zambesi), Nathalie Emmanuel (God of War: Kratos, Under Pressure) and Wyatt Russell (Cold, Doctor Love) will all star in the project about two couples who go an ill-fated vacation. Roy Horne (Cecil, Poison Ivy), coming off a hot Season 19, has penned the film.
