In Development

The Final Will: Rounding out the cast of the Keanu Reeves-led drama, The Final Will, are Laurie Holden (Dragged Across Concrete, Dumb and Dumber To), Taylour Paige (Mack & Rita, Boogie) and Gabrielle Byndloss (Horror Noire, The Tomorrow War). Reeves is playing a military veteran reconnecting with his old unit. Darius Marder directs the project from a script by Jimmy Ellis.

The Tomb of Dracula: The latest Marvel Universe production, The Tomb of Dracula, has added Naveen Andrews (Norse: Valhalla, "The Dropout"), Gabriel Byrne (We Were Never Here, Skyrim) and Eve Hewson (Worried Mind, Alien: Isolation) to its cast. They will play members of the Nightstalkers, a group of monster hunters. Andrews will play Taj Natal, Byrne will play Quincy Harker, and Hewson will play his daughter Edith Harker. Adam Wingard directs from a script by Jack Brown.

Murder Mysteries: The latest collaboration between director Darren Aronofsky and writer John Malone, Murder Mysteries, has added Michael Shannon (The Mast, Obsession), Jonathan Groff (Swim Through the Darkness, Free the Chicago Seven!) and Mia Goth (Infinity Pool, Pearl) to its cast. They will play angels that intersect with the investigation of the first murder in Heaven. The film is based on a short story by Neil Gaiman.

Mimsley and Me: Steve Martin (Bravo/Samurai, "Only Murders in the Building") and Joey King (Titans: Evil Incarnate, Letter to Myself) are set to star in a new film from director Frank Oz (Super Grover, Death at a Funeral) and writer Jacob Jones (Madeline, Victims). Martin will play a former magician who is convinced to go after his passion again by his college-aged granddaughter played by King. Elliott Gould (Idlewild Ranch, You People) has also been cast in the film as a scientist with an old grudge against Martin's character.

The Shadow: Henry Cavill (Mass Effect 3 - Part 2, Paradise Lost) was announced as the star of The Shadow at the most recent LRF Comic-Con, and now we know he will be joined by Nico Parker (Suncoast, Reminiscence) and Joe Taslim (Assassin's Creed: The New Order, Uncharted 2). The film is loosely based on the novel by James Patterson and Brian Sitts. In this film, The Shadow is cryogenically frozen until present day where he is awoken by a street-wise teenager played by Parker. Taslim, meanwhile, has been cast the film's villain, The Shadow's arch-nemesis Shiwan Khan. Francis Lawrence (Pompeii, Bunker 17) is set to direct the film from an adaptation by rookie writer Diane Esposito.

My Sister: Another novel adaptation is on the way, with Rosie JoLove (The Girls, The Vacationers) penning an adaptation of the novel My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite. Cynthia Erivo (Booster Gold: Lost in Time, Drift) and Tati Gabrielle ("You", "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina") and Chiwetel Ejiofor (Northrock, Visions) have been set to star. Erivo will play a modern Nigerian woman who begins to suspect that her own sister, played by Tati, may be a murderer. Ejiofor will play a doctor and romantic interest of Erivo's character. HG Hansen is producing the film, which is being directed by Mati Diop (Atlantics, Dahomey).
