In Development

The Tomb of Dracula: Rounding out the cast of the latest Marvel Universe production, The Tomb of Dracula, will be Mackenzie Crook ("Britannia", Christopher Robin) as a cab driver willing to brave the drive up to Castle Dracula, Vanessa Redgrave (The Lost Girls, Georgetown) as the older version of Rachel Van Helsing (seen as a younger woman last season in Nick Fury and His Howling Commandos) and Tim Curry (Burke & Hare, The Secret of Moonacre) in a voice role as a vampiric beast called Varnae. Adam Wingard directs from a script by Jack Brown.

Murder Mysteries: Another big budget genre film is rounding out its cast as well with Sam Strike (The Boys in the Boat, Monster Party) and Robert Aramayo ("The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power", The King's Man) joining Murder Mysteries from director Darren Aronofsky and writer John Malone. Strike will play the victim of the first murder in Heaven, while Aramayo will play Azazel, Lucifer's second-in-command. The film is based on a short story by Neil Gaiman.

Mimsley and Me: Stephanie Beatriz (The Giver of Stars, The Night Swim), Sam Jaeger (The Eyes of Tammy Faye, "Devil in Ohio") and Jake Weary (Wonder Woman: Labyrinth, "Animal Kingdom") have signed on to join Steve Martin and Joey King in Mimsley and Me. Beatriz will play an aspiring magician, Jaeger will play a younger version of Elliott Gould's character and Weary will play a younger version of Steve Martin's character. Frank Oz is directing the film from a script by Jacob Jones.

The Shadow: The Henry Cavill-led reboot of the pulp character The Shadow has added Bella Heathcote (The Big One, Stepford), Jackie Earle Haley (The Nickel Boys, The Stand) and Barbara Hershey (9 Bullets, The Manor) to its cast. Heathcote will play Cavill's love interest, Margo Lane. Haley will play the Shadow's trusted driver, Moe Shrevnitz. Hershey, meanwhile, will play the grandmother of the character played by Nico Parker. Francis Lawrence directs from a script by new writer Diane Esposito. The film is based on the recent update of the character, a novel by James Patterson and Brian Sitts.

My Sister: Ray Fisher (Rebel Moon, Zack Snyder's Justice League) and Abraham Attah (Happy Birthday, Alex + Ada) have joined yet another novel adaptation - My Sister. The film tells the story of an African woman who suspects that her sister is a murderer. Mati Diop directs from an adaptation by Rosie JoLove, based on the novel My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite.

Vampire: Samara Weaving (Namor the Sub-Mariner: Imperius Rex, Home Before Dark), Taylor Kitsch (Knievel, The Curse of Janara) and Shailene Woodley (The Producer, Gathering of the Wolves) are set to star in Vampire - a new film from director Robert Eggers (The Life After, The Creature: The Beginning). Don't let the title fool you though. This film is not a blood-sucking horror story. Instead, it is a remake of the 1915 silent film, A Fool There Was, which tells the story of a femme fatale who latches onto men, sucking them dry of their morales and finances. Weaving will play the femme fatale at the center of the story. Kitsch will play a married man the "vamp" sets her sights on, with Woodley set to play Kitsch's wife. Ben Collins (Skin, Dandelion) penned the film.
