Reaction: This spin-off/prequel was certainly not the humongous hit of Skyrim and Skyrim II. It still managed to make a tidy profit, but it would seem that Sean Bean isn't exactly a box office draw in the lead role.

"Chris Weitz has a very bland eye behind the camera, which doesn't do this less thrilling Skyrim spin-off any favors. Gone are the dragons and high adventure, replaced with fantasy political intrigue." - Chris Price, Boston Herald

"While I didn't like it as much as the other Skyrim films, this latest installment to the series is still is a top-flight production with a well-plotted script by Harry Wright." - Clark Davis, JoBlo.com

"Sean Bean is a good actor, but after getting a chance at leading a major film, it is apparent why he's always been more of a supporting player. The rest of this mish-mashed cast doesn't fare much better, and Russell Crowe is wasted on a smaller role." - Jon Farrell, Hollywood Reporter

Rated PG-13 for brief strong language and fantasy violence
