"Spider-Man Requiem manages to both up the stakes both personally and wholistically compared to the previous films in this franchise. I believe I stated this in a view for the previous films, but Matthew McConaughey once again steals the show as Norman Osborn" - J. Darrell Ellington, Behind the Camera
"The action in Requiem isn't quite as strong and entertaining as it was in the last film, but the script from Cobb and Taylor does manage to up the emotional stakes for all of the characters here. I would have liked more Gwen Stacy, but her role has a lot of impact and was quite shocking at the point of the story it came to an end. Lucas Hedges continues to grow into his own version of the character in his third appearance, while Matthew McConaughey gets to chew up tons of scenery as the Goblin this time around." - Dave Manning, Ridgefield Press
"This third LRF Spider-Man film feels a bit less tightly focused than the previous two films in the series. There's a lot going on around the main story that I found distracting - teases of Venom, Mary Jane romance, Doc Ock, etc. - all of which I felt pulled a bit too much focus away from Spidey vs. Goblin. All that said, the core of the film is still quite strong and miles better than most superhero flicks the various studios are churning out these days. It will be interesting to see which of the new elements teased in this film becomes the focus of the inevitable fourth film as the filmmakers will have plenty to choose from." - Gregory Fletcher, Los Angeles Times-Journal
Rated PG-13 for action violence, language and thematic elements
