X-Men: Age of Apocalypse: Peter Macon ("The Orville", Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes) was announced at the most recent Comic-Con as a new addition to the X-Men Marvel Universe franchise as the villain Apocalypse, but in addition to him we will have a mix of new and returning characters. Kiki Layne (The Old Guard 2, X-Men: Hellfire) will be back as Storm, Diana Silvers (X-Men: Sinister, The Killer) will be back as Rogue, and Rebecca Ferguson (X-Men: Hellfire, The Deadliest Night in Show Business) will be back as Mystique. Another newcomer will be Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Metroid, The Nest) as Cable - a time traveler from the future who has seen what the future looks like if Apocalypse's plans happen. Miguel Sapochnik directs from a script by Dwight Gallo.
The Revolution: Caleb McLaughlin (Sister/Sister, Guy on the Fly), Charlie Plummer (Harvard Psychology, Bunny), and Dylan Minnette (Never Seeing Kristina Again, Love is Embarrassing) are set to join Sadie Sink and Willem Dafoe in The Revolution, a high school-set thriller from director Sam Raimi and writer Alex Conn.
Tethered: Garcelle Beauvais (Coming 2 America, Spider-Man: Homecoming) and Ciaran Hinds (The Sandman: Season of Mists, An Eye For An Eye) are set to round out the cast of the new horror film from director Mike Flanagan. Beauvais will play a mysterious and powerful woman, while Hinds will play a priest. Joshua Collins has penned the film - his first original horror story for the studio.
Blade: The Damson Idris-led Marvel Universe horror film, Blade, has added Gina Torres (Metal Gear Solid 2, "9-1-1: Lone Star"), Taraji P. Henson (Straw, The Color Purple), and Regina King (Fractus, Artemis) to its supporting cast. Spike Lee is making his superhero debut directing the project from a script by Dawson Edwards, a Marvel Universe newcomer himself.
The Guns of Peridido: The Michael Bay-directed and Austin Butler-starring western action film, The Guns of Peridido, has added some backup in the form of Isabela Merced (Rise Again, The Mars Room), Paulina Chavez (The Long Game, "Landman"), and Corey Stoll (Repeal and Replace, Tara's World) to round out its cast. The film was written by Jacob Jones.
Macbeth: The latest big screen adaptation of William Shakespeare's famed tragedy Macbeth has aded Fionn Whitehead (Harvard Psychology, Who Watches the Watchmen) as Malcolm, Samantha Colley (Solo, "Victoria") as Lady MacDuff, Paul Dano (Songbird, Love Is...) as Thane of Ross, and Robert Carlyle (An Ember in the Ashes, Teen Titans) as Lennox. Robert Eggers directs from an adaptation by Jimmy Ellis.
