Starship Troopers: Rounding out the cast of the new Starship Troopers film from director Christopher McQuarrie and writer John Malone will be Neal McDonough (Kansas City, Don't Hang Up), Luke Benward (Friday the 13th: Blood Ties, Playing God), and Brittany O'Grady (Bad Dreams Come True, House Without End). McDonough will play the commanding officer of the main character (Noah Centineo's Johnnie Rico), Rasczak. Benward will play a friend and fellow soldier of Rico's. O'Grady, meanwhile, will play Rico's love interest who inspires him to join the Federation military.
Boys from the Forest: The gritty German ensemble drama from writer Wyatt Allen has added Emilia Eidt (Juli tanzt, "In aller Freundschaft"), Ruben Meiller (The Three Exclamation Marks, The Peppercorns and the Curse of the Black King), to its cast Albrecht Schuch (System Crasher, All Quiet on the Western Front). David Wnendt is set as director on the project.
Sniper: Demian Bichir (Scarface, Blue Beetle: Legacy), Adria Arjona (The Mars Room, Blink Twice), and Ed Harris (Wonder Bean, Artemis) will fill out the cast of Sniper. Bichir will play the president of Colombia, Arjona will play his activist daughter, while Harris will play a sinister CIA director. Jose Padilha is directing the remake from an adaptation penned by Nic Suzuki.
Lucifer: Jonny Lee Miller's Lucifer is set to have more company in his DC Comics Universe solo film as Adeline Rudolph (Hellboy: The Crooked Man, "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina"), Daniel Henney (Dragon Ball: The Wrath of the Demon King, "The Wheel of Time"), and Tom Felton (Dracula Lives, Altered) have all joined the cast. Rudolph will play Lucifer's demonic assistant, Mazikeen, while Henney and Felton will play angelic soldiers in Heaven. Danny Boyle is directing the film from a script by John Malone.
The Thin Man: Tom Hiddleston (Run, El Dorado) and Zoey Deutch (Sins of the Father, Spider-Man: Requiem) are set to headline a remake of the 1934 comedy-mystery hit, The Thin Man, which in turn is based was based on a novel by Dashiell Hammett. The two stars will play the main characters - a former detective and his socialite wife. Richard Linklater (Dan Star, Hands on a Hard Body) is directing the film, which has been written by Carl Flimmer (Resident Evil 5, Footage from the Past).
Cleveland: Director Edgar Wright (Supercrooks, Run For You Life) and writer Jimmy Ellis (The Essence, Fading Nights) are set to team up on the ensemble Ohio-set crime film, Cleveland. The first additions to the cast are Ben Barnes (Her dying Wish, Resident Evil 3), Daveed Diggs (Fading Nights, Run For Your Life), Sterling K. Brown (The Mars Room, INFINITY), and Jennifer Connelly (Eve of Destruction, The Omen) have all signed on. Barnes and Diggs will play a pair of detectives investigating a strange trail of murders in the Cleveland. Brown will play a crime boss, while Connelly will play his cunning wife.
