Reaction: A decent box office gross overseas almost saved this one from flopping. Considering we make a higher percentage of money from the domestic box office, it makes it really hard to recover from a film bombing domestically. Joshua Collins is certainly not the only new writer to have a tough go at the box office with their debut film (recent newcomers Wyatt Allen and Harmony Winters come to mind). Welcome to LRF, Joshua Collins....

"There's a certain charm that hooked me to stay and watch the film longer, beside the weak Big Hero 6-esque villain twist, the film is still enjoyable with that fantastic 1960's anime vibe all over it" - Ted Milo, Film Journal International

"How the film is being marketed and presented is definitely an issue with my enjoyment on this one. Being released as an Action/Sci-Fi, this one misses the mark. It's too corny and goofy to be taken seriously in any of those genres, resulting in a bit of a tonal mess." - Frank Estelle, Boca Breeze

"Gigantor doesn't really pull off adapting the anime for a new generation, as the film feels steeped in 1960s cheese that is probably not going to play well with the younger audiences that would be interested in a story like this on paper. It's not a terrible film by any means, probably just a bit too simple and old-fashioned for today's audiences." - Brenton Smalls, Playboy

Rated PG for scenes of peril, action violence and some crude humor and language.
