Starkweather: Stanley Simons (The Iron Claw, Superior), Hannah Kepple (Duke Nukem, The Monster Squad), Patrick Warburton (Inheritance, Believe It or Not!) and Henry Czerny (Scream VI, Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning) are set to complete the casting of director Sean Durkin's latest film, Starkweather, which tells the story of the killing spree by Charles Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate. Simons and Kepple will play another young couple that crosses paths with the murderous lovebirds, while Warburton will play the governor of Nebraska and Czerny will play a judge. Lon Charles penned the project.

In Five Years: Corey Hawkins (Footage from the Past, Free the Chicago Seven!) and Laura Linney (Firestorm, Suburban) have joined In Five Years, based on the novel by Rebecca Serle. Hawkins will play a doctor, while Linney will play the mother of the main character, played by Daisy Ridley. Sally Potter directs from an adaptation by Rosie JoLove.

Connected: Another film, Connected from director Sofia Coppola and writer Jacob Jones, is completing its casting process with the additions of Rachel Dratch (Plan B, Wine Country), Ella Bleu Travolta (The Poison Rose), Chinenye Ezeudu ("Sex Education", "The School for Good and Evil") and Jake T. Austin (Blue is the Warmest Color, Hated: The Ballad of GG Allin). Travolta plays a girl who picked on Mackenzie Foy's main character in high school, Dratch will play Foy's mother, Ezeudu plays a graphic artist who helps with the technical aspects for video game streamers, and Austin plays a musician.

Spider-Man: Requiem: Lucas Hedges (Spider-Man, Kansas City), Elle Fanning (Spider-Man, Klondike) and Matthew McConaughey (Blue Ridge, Spider-Man vs. The Sinister Six) are all officially back for a third film in the Spider-Man series, Spider-Man: Requiem, as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Gwen Stacy, and Norman Osborn/Green Goblin, respectively. Damien Chazelle (Spider-Man, Oklahoma!) is also back to direct this Marvel Universe production, once again from a script by D.R. Cobb (Wonder Woman: Labyrinth, Captain America) and Chad Taylor (Under the Influence, The Omen).

Kill Zone: The first film of Season 30 has been set. In the film, Kill Zone, Chris Pratt (Recursion, Knight Rider) will play US Marine Brian Chontosh whose unit is ambushed during a convoy outside of Baghdad during the 2003 Iraq War. Tim Allen ("The Santa Clauses", "Last Man Standing") has also been cast in the project as Pratt's commanding officer. Zack Snyder (Elektra, Gears of War 2) is set to direct the film from a script by Jimmy Ellis (Thorne, Task Force X: Jungleland) and John Malone (Murder Mysteries, The Spectre). 

Acapella: Director Pete Docter (Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Calvin and Hobbes) has been hired to direct an animated musical film, Acapella, based on an original script by Jacob Jones (Heartstone, Mimsley and Me). The film will feature no voice actors, instead the entire film will be told through animated sequences and a soundtrack of acapella music.
