The Roundup with Jeff Stockton (Season 29 Round 7)

Round 7 is one the studio accountants probably wish to forget. Here's The Roundup....

3. Northrock 2
Not a lot of original films wind up with sequels in LRF, so the fact that Northrock 2 even happened - and also managed to turn another profit - is impressive.

2. Boyd Holbrook
It's nice to see Boyd Holbrook in a leading role that gives him a little something to work with. Last Days of the American Cowboy as a film was a bit too dry for my taste, but I thought Holbrook was an excellent choice in the lead role.

1. Lili Reinhart
I didn't love the movie of Becoming Carole Lombard as I found it a bit too standard and Lombard herself not that interesting of a character for long stretches of the story, but I do think it is a valuable piece on the resume of Lili Reinhart to show her range.

3. Becoming Carole Lombard
The first half of the film covering the origins of Carole Lombard were strong, even though it was the half without all the major star appearances. It hit the emotional beats better than the second half, which should have been the better half with the major characters/historical figures.

2. Last Days of the American Cowboy
I liked a lot of the ideas and messages in the film, but the film hit the same ones repeatedly rather than truly crafting a story to explore them.

1. Box Office
This round was disastrous at the box office. Not only did 2/3 films lose money, but they lost a whole lot more than the one profitable film brought in.
