Scarlet: Christian Slater (Libra, Cape Torment), Loren Dean (The Mule, Ad Astra) and Betsy Brandt (The Valet, Run Sweetheart Run) have joined the Sadie Sink-led Marvel Universe production, Scarlet. Slater will play a sinister doctor, while Dean and Brandt will play the title character's very religious adoptive parents. In addition to those casting moves, Laura Fraser (X-Men: Sinister, Dark Encounter) will reprise her role from the X-Men films as Dr. Moira MacTaggert. Leigh Janiak directs the film from a script by Roy Horne.
We Know Where You Live: Walker Scobell (Secret Headquarters, The Adam Project), Hannah Kepple ("Cobra Kai", The Class) and Isabel May have signed on to appear in the home invasion horror film, We Know Where You Live. Scobell and Kepple will play the children of the characters played by Matthew Fox and Radha Mitchell, while May will play Kepple's friend who tags along with the family for a trip to their lake house. Franck Khalfoun has been tasked with directing the film based on an original story by Jack Brown.
Tinseltown: Timothee Chalamet (The Giver, Citizen) has agreed to star in Tinseltown, a film telling the story of a journalist who becomes witness to several Hollywood scandals in the 1920s. Joining Chalamet in the ensemble cast will be Kyle Chandler (Revival, Poison Ivy), Kathryn Newton (The Nest, Maledicta) and Madison Iseman (Revival, Whaling). Chandler will play filmmaker William Desmond Taylor, Newton will play actress Mabel Normand, and Iseman will play a fellow actress Mary Miles Minter. Sam Mendes (The House of Romanov, Klondike) will be directing the film, which was written by Andrew Doster (The Last of the Mohicans, Inner Demons). Dwight Gallo (The Punisher: Last Exit, Berserker) lent his services as a producer.
Carte Blanche: Dan Stevens (Risico, Booster Gold: Back in Time) is officially back for another round as LRF's James Bond in Carte Blanche. Richard E. Grant (Wolf, Risico) is also back as the head of MI5, M. This time around, Bond will be on the trail of a world class assassin, Francisco Scaramanga. Benicio del Toro (L.A. Rex, Numero Uno) has been cast in the villainous role. Christopher Nolan, who directed Risico, has been busy prepping Caesar Part III (due out next season), so Denis Villeneuve (Torso, Control) has been tasked to direct instead. John Malone (Judas Iscariot, Black Hole) wrote the script once again.
The Saints: The first film of Season 26 will be an original superhero project from writers Jacob Jones (Kazaria: Burns of the Lavita, The Young Heiress) and Chad Taylor (Revival, The Sandman: Season of Mists). Meg Donnelly (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Culture), Madeleine Madden ("The Wheel of Time", Dora and the Lost City of Gold) and Maya Hawke (OZ, Long Time) are set to star as a trio of college girls who develop superpowers. Olivia Wilde (Don't Worry Darling, Booksmart) has been hired to direct the big-budget film.
Made Men: The most awarded director in LRF history, Nicolas Winding Refn (Cecil, Excalibur), is set to direct the upcoming gangster action film, Made Men. Harvey Keitel (No Laughing Matter, And the Birds Rained Down), Steve Buscemi (Graduation Trip, No Laughing Matter), Joe Pesci (The Irishman, Haute Couture) and Chazz Palmintieri (Vault, Legend) will star in the project as a group of mobsters who are released after decades behind prison bars. Jimmy Ellis (Daredevil, The Driftwood Populace) wrote the film.
