Just one round left in Season 25.... Here's The Roundup....
3. GRA Contenders
Tinseltown and Carte Blanche may have something to say about it, but it looks like most of the award categories have about an handful of possible nominees.
2. The Long Way Home
I wasn't exactly sure what to expect from this one, but I ended up being completely engrossed. I'm still not sure Yahya Abdul-Mateen III will actually be the next big thing casting agents want him to be, but Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and even David Letterman were perfectly cast.
1. Scarlet
On paper, this one felt like a Carrie ripoff. But it took some twists and turns that made it feel completely fresh despite its derivative opening scenes. Clearly the lead role was written with Sadie Sink in mind as it played to her strengths (and it would seem the choice of director also involved Sink's comfort levels).
3. HG Hansen
Even though he recently explained his role as producer on both The Watsons Go to Birmingham and Bunny, I think it is safe to say that he might want to be a bit more careful about which projects he puts his name on after both films bombed at the box office and were not well-liked by the critics.

2. Box Office
This round was a step in the right direction, but man does Carte Blanche need to do REALLY BIG business in order to salvage this season.
1. The Watsons Go to Birmingham
Why was this so damn long?! The first act of the film in Michigan was EXHAUSTING! There's a reason the previous TV adaptation cut out most of that section of the book. Nothing happens for so long. Wesley Campbell is capable of better adaptations than this.
