The Guest List: Chloe Bennet (Supercrooks, Dragon Ball: The Wrath of the Demon King), Stephen Root (Haven, Harrelson), Pete Ploszek (Captain Marvel, Splinter Cell: Double Agent), Rupert Grint (The Dark Tower III: The Waste Lands, Burial Rites) and Maria Dole Kennedy (The Wonder, Sing Street) have been tapped to round out the large ensemble cast of the thriller, The Guest List, which will depict a wedding party gone murderously wrong on a isolated island. Atlantis: Bloodline: Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Atlantis, Halo 6) and Will Patton (Atlantis, Halloween Ends) are reportedly on board to reprise their roles in Atlantis: Bloodline from the first film. Two additions to the cast will be Mark Rendall (Stockholm, Dead Still) and Rebecca Breeds ("Clarice", Slam) who have reportedly signed on for two smaller roles. David Michod directs the DC Comics Universe adaptation written by Jimmy Ellis.
Free the Chicago Seven!: Not content with Aaron Sorkin's big-screen effort, Alex Conn (Once Upon a Time in Greenwich Village, Tough Girl) has lined up his own film depiction of the trial of the Chicago Seven - a group of protesters charged with a series of crimes following a riot at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago - as both writer and director. Jay Baruchel (The Hulk, Random Acts of Violence), Billy Crudup (Malik, Natural Selection), Jonathan Groff (Swim Through the Darkness, "Mindhunter") and Emile Hirsch (Poison Ivy, Crowley) have all been cast in the film. They will play Abbie Hoffman, Tom Foran, Tom Hayden and Jerry Rubin, respectively.
Tara's Web: Victoria Pedretti ("You", Shirley) and Jacob Elordi (Camp Manhood, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) are set to star in the erotic drama Tara's Web. Pedretti will play a femme fatale who sinks her teeth into a highly touted basketball prospect played by Elordi. Lynne Ramsay (A Lost Sense of Heaven, Before You Help) has been chosen to direct the film based on a script by Jacob Jones (Kazaria: Burns of the Lavita, E.P.).
Titans: Incarnate: The Titans are finally returning to the DC Comics Universe in Titans: Evil Incarnate. Taron Egerton (Nightwing, Attraction/Deception), Asa Butterfield (Extra Ordinary, Teen Titans), Haley Lu Richardson (The Vacationers, Camp Manhood) and Avan Jogia (Blue Beetle: Legacy, Teen Titans) are all back from the first entry, Teen Titans. They will be reprising their roles as Dick Grayson / Nightwing, Gar Logan / Beast Boy, Koriand'r / Starfire and Jaime Reyes / Blue Beetle, respectively. Travis Knight (Teen Titans, Bumblebee) is back to direct, once again from a script by APJ (Batgirl, Uncharted 4) and Jimmy Ellis (Nightwing, Daredevil).
Artemis: Zendaya (Dune, "Euphoria"), Ben Mendelsohn (Tokyo Rose, Klondike), Alexander Ludwig (Hex: The Cult of Cain, Radisson) and Simu Liu ("Kim's Convenience", Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) have all signed on to star in Artemis, an adaptation of the sci-fi novel by Andy Weir. In the film, Artemis is the first city on the moon. Zendaya will Jazz, a young smuggler who gets caught up in a conspiracy for control of the city. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys for Life, Rebel) have tasked with directing the film. JJ Abrams (A Boy and His Robot, The Stand) has agreed to contribute to the film as a producer. The adaptation was penned by Wesley Campbell (Run, Supercrooks).
