Reaction: For a low budget, experimental project, things certainly could have gone worse financially. You won't be seeing a ton of films like this as it will be virtually impossible to make profits, but once in a while shouldn't hurt the studio's bottom line too much.
"It's probably not possible to truly review a film like Something and/or Nothing, which feels more like an avant garde art film than an actual narrative feature. It is pretty incoherent, but it is visually interesting and Karl Glusman commits to the lead/only role." - Charles Triano, Los Angeles Times"True to writer/director Meirad Tako's brand of weirdness arrives another short-lived horror movie like Ben Collins' Skin. But unlike Skin, the overall meaning may differ from person-to-person. I kinda got it yet still trying to piece it all together. Passion or Vanity project? I don't know to who the beholder." - Dallas Atteberry, Belton Journal
"I'm not sure I exactly know what to make of something like Something and/or Nothing. It wasn't necessarily terrible, but it also isn't something that should be pushed out in movie theaters in this day and age. There is no plot, no immediacy, just a series of strange imagery surrounding star Karl Glusman without much to tie any of it together." - Jason Helm, New York Observer
Rated R for frightening imagery and violence
