The ComeBack: The latest film from writer Jack Ryder, a buddy cop action-comedy has added Walton Goggins (The Final Will, Blue Ridge), John C. Reilly (Walker, Ghost Town), Jackie Earle Haley (The Shadow, The Stand) and Toni Collette (Miracles, Maledicta) to its ensemble cast. Ruben Fleischer is directing the film as his LRF debut.
The Crow: Midnight Garden: Happy Anderson (The Bikeriders, Bird Box), Clarke Peters (Gambit: District X, Da 5 Bloods) and Ione Skye (Scarlet, Habit) have joined the cast of the latest Crow film, The Crow: Midnight Garden. Anderson will play a villainous role, Peters will play a police captain, while Skye will play the mother of a murderer girl. Nathalie Biancheri is directing from a script by Jack Brown. Thefilm is based on the comic series by James O'Barr.
A German Tragedy: Writer Wyatt Allen cast regular Margarita Levieva (The Untitled Paul Nichols Project, Ruthersville Brazil) has joined th writer's latest film along with Jim Sturgess (Lowell, Stray Dogs). Noah Baumbach is directing the film from an original script by Allen.
Starkweather: Two of Hollywood's fastest rising young stars, Jacob Elordi (AKA Billy the Kid, Tara's Web) and Sadie Sink (Scarlet, The Big One), are set to star in a new film about the killing spree of Charles Starkweather and Caril Ann Fugate that terrorized Nebraska in 1958. Also signing on to the project are Paul Sparks (Cascade, "Joe Pickett") and Martha Plimpton (Forever Hold the Peace, "Sprung") as the parents of Starkweather. Sean Durkin (The Iron Claw, Martha Marcy May Marlene) is set to direct the film from a script by Lon Charles (Harvard Psychology, Believe It or Not!).
In Five Years: Another novel adaptation is on the way from writer Rosie JoLove (My Sister, The Girls). This time it is an adaptation of Rebecca Serle's novel, In Five Years, telling the story of a young woman with a seemingly perfect life who suddenly wakes up five yars in the future. Daisy Ridley (The Pull of the Stars, Watch Dogs) will play the main character. Daniel Radcliffe (The Beatles, Morrissey and Marr) and Julia Louis-Dreyfus (No Laughing Matter, You Hurt My Feelings) have also joined the project. Radcliffe will play Ridley's boyfriend in the earlier seasons, while Louis-Dreyfus will play the main character's therapist. Sally Potter (Suzanne, The Roads Not Taken) is helming the film.
Connected: Young star Mackenzie Foy (The Nest, Kiss Me Katie) is back on LRF screens for the first time since Season 23 with the starring role in Connected. Directed by Sofia Coppola (Floyd Monroe, E.P.), the film tells the story of a recent high school graduate who enters the world of video game streaming. Jimmy Tatro (Firestorm, Vixen: The Totems of Zambesi) and Dakota Fanning (Blue is the Warmest Color, Death of the Artist) have also been cast in the project as a veteran streamer and his ex-girlfriend, respectively. Jacob Jones (Mimsley and Me, Heartstone) penned the original story.
