Reaction: The box office gross of this Northrock sequel is very close to the numbers of the first film. Similar to the first film, Verge of War has decent numbers but is a bit low on profits due to the bulk of its revenue coming from foreign markets where the studio gets a smaller cut of the box office gross.

"Despite the best efforts of the writing duo, Northrock 2 unravels at the end turning into a typical wanna-be blockbuster that I truly believe audiences are tired of. I value how things are setting towards an epic final chapter but this almost certainly makes me feel like that would be false hope in the end." - Victor Dreamer, Milwaukee Journal

"To be honest, the plot had its moments - some twists kept me interested. Jamie Dornan and Emma Watson did alright in their roles, adding a bit of depth to the characters. It's worth mentioning that the story can get a bit tangled at times, so you'll need to pay attention. The world they created was immersive enough to hold my interest. Overall, if you're into fantasy adventures, it's worth a watch, but it's not a movie I'd rave about to everyone." - Ted Milo, Montasefilm

"I find the Northrock films to be a bit too dense for their own good at times. The story of the world, just two films now, is often more complicated than necessary. That said, there is a lot of strong ambition on display in Jordan Vogt-Roberts' latest directorial effort. The film, like the first entry, is well cast and features impressive production design. This offered a bit more action than the first, thankfully, making it feel closer to blockbuster the filmmakers obviously aspire to." - Frank Estelle, Boca Breeze

Rated PG-13 for intense violence
