Scrappy: Will Arnett (Delaware, Time Out!), Halle Bailey (Connected, The Little Mermaid), Ramy Youssef (Poor Things, "Ramy") and the late James Earl Jones (Nick Fury and His Howling Commandos, Coming 2 America) have rounded out the voice cast of the critter-themed animated adventure, Scrappy. Jones had just finished recording his lines for the film shortly before his recent death. Scrappy hails from director Chris Wedge and writer Jacob Jones.
Baby Teeth: The Margot Robbie-led novel adaptation, Baby Teeth, as added Julia Stiles (Orphan: First Kill, Hustlers), Giancarlo Esposito (The Void, The Lone Gunman) and Glenn Close (Haunted, Long Time) to its supporting cast. Stiles and Esposito are set to play doctors in the film, while Glenn Close will play the principal of the school Robbie's strange daughter attends. Rosie JoLove has penned the adaptation based on the novel by Zoje Stage, while Olivia Wilde is directing.
Ocean Pawn: Jack Ryder's latest original superhero project has added Penelope Cruz (An Honest Mistake, Mona Lisa), Terry Crews (Gears of War 2, John Henry) and Ronda Rousey (Mortal Kombat II, Mile 22) to its cast. Crews will play an underwater rebel leader, Cruz will play the queen of the underwater kingdom, and Rousey will play a fighting member of the Dolphin Tribe. Steven S. DeKnight is directing the deep sea epic.
At Night All Blood Is Black: Vincent Cassel (Akin, Germinal), Lea Seydoux (Watch Dogs, The Driftwood Populace) and Omar Sy (Resident Evil 5, Wolfenstein) have joined the cast of At Night All Blood Is Black, based on the novel by David Diop. In the dark World War I drama, Cassel will play a doctor, Seydoux his wife, and Sy will play a war hero. Lemohang Jeremiah Mosese directs the film from a script by Jimmy Ellis.
The House Down the Street: GRA-Winning director Taylor Sheridan (Rodeo, Final End) has signed on to direct a new film for the studio, the espionage thriller The House Down the Street. Josh Hartnett (Wonder Woman: Labyrinth, Broadway) and Tommy Lee Jones (American Dragon, Missing Men) are set to headline the project. Hartnett plays an operative for a private intelligence firm who is tasked with taking out a veteran fixer for the agency that know too much, played by Jones. Chad Taylor (Under the Influence, The Omen) penned the story.
God of War III - Part One: Tom Hardy (Thorne, Judas Iscariot) is officially back as Kratos for another God of War entry, one that purports to be the first of a two-part entry that will wrap up Kratos' war against the Greek Gods. Hugo Weaving (The Void, The Untitled Paul Nichols Project) has joined the project as Zeus, while Charlotte Rampling (Atlantis, The Cape) has also signed on to play Gaia. Andy Serkis (Saga, Venom: Let There Be Carnage) has been tasked with directing the video game adaptation. Wesley Campbell (Run, Supercrooks) was the writer behind the script on this entry, making it a rare instance in which every film in a 3+ film series is written by a different writer.
