Full Custody: Shane Gillis' movie star debut, Full Custody, has rounded out its cast with the additions of Chi McBride (Love, Uncharted 4) as a school principal, Laurie Metcalf (Theater Kids, Columbine) as Gillis' mother, and Tim Baltz ("The Righteous Gemstones", Driver's Ed) as a social worker. David Gordon Green is directing the film based on an original script by John Malone.

The Crow: Yomi: Tadanobu Asano (Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Shogun) has signed on to the play the lead villain in the latest film in the Crow franchise - a sadistic, demon-worshipping Yakuza gangster. Masatoshi Nagase (Kokuho, The Box Man) and Rie Miyazawa (Pale Moon, No Longer Human) have also joined the film as the parents of Minami Hamabe's character. Takashi Miike is directing the Japan-set story from a script by Jack Brown.

Assata: Director Ryan Coogler's biopic of activist and convicted murderer Assata Shakur has completed its casting process with the additions of Aldis Hodge (Blood Brothers, Fractus), Wood Harris (One Battle After Another, Spawn 2: Payback), and Janelle Monae (The Giver of Stars, Black Lightning). Dawson Edwards penned the film.

Police Story: Retribution: Another film in the Police Story franchise is on the way from writer Meirad Tako (The Ghost Connection, Nineteen Eighty-Four - Part Two). Stars Jamie Dornan (X-Men: Age of Apocalypse, Northrock: Verge of War) and Jackie Chan (The Immortal Iron Fist, Police Story: Case Closed) are all set to return to their roles as Agent Christopher Wayne and Commissioner Chan, respectively. Each film in the franchise has employed a different director, and this one is no different with Mathieu Kassovitz (Gothika, Babylon A.D.) taking over for this entry.

Coriolanus: Writer Jimmy Ellis (Macbeth, Convalescence) has another Shakespeare adaptation on the way, this time taking on Coriolanus. Alexander Skarsgard (Swamp Thing 2, Open Hearts) has been set for the title role, a Roman general who teams up with his enemies to wage war on his native city. Ben Foster (All the Fives, Resident Evil 5) will play Tullus Aufidius, a general of Rome's enemy, while Jason Isaacs (The Final Will, Batman Beyond) will play Menenius, a Roman senator. David Lowery (The Crucible, Martian Manhunter) has been tapped to direct the project.

Offside: Fresh off his role as Blade for the Marvel Universe, Damson Idris (Blade, At Night All Blood is Black) has been cast in the upcoming soccer drama Offside. He will play a star player trying to hold onto his career following a scandal. Adele Exarchopoulos (Mr. Happy, Shatterhand) has been cast as his love interest in the film. Veteran TV director Danny Cannon ("Gotham"m Goal! The Dream Begins) has been hired to direct the film, which has been written by Wyatt Allen (Boys from the Forest, Mr. Happy).
