Suzanne: The upcoming film from director Sally Potter and writers Ann Morrow and Harry Wright has completed its cast with Olivia Colman ("The Crown", The Favourite), Patricia Clarkson (Out of Blue, "House of Cards"), Mark Gatiss ("Game of Thrones" Christopher Robin) and Max Charles (American Sniper, The Last Survivors) signing onto the film. Colman and Clarkson will play middle aged versions of the characters played by Kristin Scott Thomas and Rosemary Harris, while Max Charles will play the title character's teenage son, and Gattis will play the boss of Lupita Nyong'o's character.
Long Time: Rounding out the cast of the Mike Mills-helmed, Ethan Hawke-led drama from writer Chad Taylor will be Cara Buono ("Stranger Things", Monsters and Men), Patrick Fischler ("Happy!", Under the Silver Lake) and Ethan Hawke's daughter Maya Hawke ("Stranger Things", "Little Women"). Buono will play Hawke's ex-wife, Fischler will play a former high school classmate, and Maya Hawke will play her father's daughter.
Flash Gordon: Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Dark Matter, Lost Planet), Stanley Tucci (Spawn, Cosa Nostra), Jeremy Irons (Nexus, Mandingos) and Dave Bautista (Halo: Reach, Mortal Kombat) will join Channing Tatum in James Gunn's Flash Gordon film. Winstead will play Gordon's love interest Dale Arden, Tucci will play mad scientist Dr. Hans Zarkov, Irons will play the villainous Emperor Ming, and Bautista will Prince Vultan, leader of the Hawkmen. Roy Horne wrote the script.
Resident Evil 2: The sequel to Resident Evil has added Rila Fukushima (Star Trek: Enterprise, "Arrow"), David Tennant (Doppelganger 2, Bonnie and Clyde) and Radha Mitchell (The Shack, Sacrifice). Fukushima will play Ada Wong, Tennant will play the creator of the G-virus, while Mitchell will play his wife. James Wan is directing from a script by Carl Flimmer.
B.R.I.G.A.N.D.S.: Donnie Yen (Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Mortal Kombat), Milla Jovovich (Halo: The Fall of Reach, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter) and Dominic Purcell (Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect) have all joined the upcoming heist film from writer Mo Buck and director George Miller. They will play members of a gang of thieves.
Sandbox: Chris Pratt (Six Billion Dollar Man, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) has signed on to star in the sci-fi comedy Sandbox from director Edgar Wright (Baby Driver, The World's End) and first-time screenwriter Giovanni Garcia. In the film, Pratt will play a video game technician tasked with giving a group of teenage video game fans a tour of the facility, but they end up inside a virtual reality sandbox game.
