Flash Gordon: Jamie Dornan (Radisson, Police Story: The Return) is clearly impressing the right people as he has just signed on to join Flash Gordon, making it his third film of the season. He will play the dashing Prince Barin. Also joining the film will be Emily Ratajkowski (Welcome Home, In Darkness), Michael Rooker (Metamorpho, Sweet Tooth), and Martin Donovan (Ant-Man, Indian Horse). Ratajkowski will play Emperor Ming's daughter, Rooker will play the villainous General Klytus, while Donovan will play U.S. President Jimmy Carter. James Gunn is directing the film based on a script by Roy Horne.
B.R.I.G.A.N.D.S.: Rounding out the cast of the action-thriller from director George Miller and writer Mo Buck will Eric Roberts ("Gauntlet", Cyrano de Bergerac), Michael Jai White (Star Trek: Enterprise, Dragged Across Concrete) and Stellan Skarsgard (Borg McEnroe, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again). They will play a trio of Interpol agents trying to stop a dangerous gang of robbers.
Sandbox: Finn Wolfhard (Asylum, Sinkhole), Jack Dylan Grazer (Shazam!, It), Caleb McLaughlin ("Stranger Things", High Flying Bird) and Dylan Minnette (The Creature: The Beginning, "13 Reasons Why") will join star Chris Pratt in the upcoming sci-fi film Sandbox. They will play a group of teenagers who become trapped inside a video game with Pratt. Edgar Wright is directing from a script from newcomer Giovanni Garcia.
The Raven: The Raven series will continue going backwards in time with this film set to be a prequel to Season 5's Cosa Nostra. Alden Ehrenreich (American Dream, Ranger) and Robert De Niro (Cosa Nostra, Van Helsing) have both signed on to reprise their roles as hitman Dan "The Raven" Roberts and crime boss Carmine Tomino, respectively. Dan Gilroy (Velvet Buzzsaw, Nightcrawler) will take over as director, following Martin Scorsese and Denis Villeneuve, the directors of the previous films. James Morgan (Mr. Big, High Society) has returned to write the script.
Mass Effect 3 - Part 1: The Mass Effect series is set to begin its two-part finale this season. Henry Cavill (Mass Effect 2, Paradise Lost) will return as Commander Shepard, Tom Hardy (Kingmaker Chronicles, God of War) as Garrus Vakarian, and Alicia Vikander (Mass Effect 2, Dishonest) as Liara T'Soni from the previous two main Mass Effect films, while Mass Effect: Cerberus star Bradley Cooper (Mr. Big, Life on Mars) will also join in on the epic conclusion. Rian Johnson (Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2) will return to direct, while Seth Overton (Blackbird, To the Moon) has once again written the script.
Buried Child: Clint Eastwood (Trouble with the Curve, The Mule) is finally set to star in his first film for Last Resort Films. He will play the patriarch of a family with a failing family farm, while Jessica Lange (Wild Oats, "Feud: Bette and Joan") has been cast as his wife. Clint Eastwood is also directing the film. Chad Taylor (Martian Manhunter, Isla Vista) wrote the script based on the play by Sam Shepard.
