In Development

Sandbox: Sacha Baron Cohen (Radisson, Haute Couture), Imogen Poots (Demons, Flicker) and Nicolas Cage (Eileen, Happy Nuke Year) have all joined the upcoming sci-fi comedy from director Edgar Wright and rookie writer Giovanni Garcia. Cohen will play a villain within the video game the main characters find themselves trapped in, while Poots will play a damsel in distress in the game. Cage, meanwhile, will play the owner of the video game company.

The Raven: The upcoming Cosa Nostra prequel has added the impressive Shia LaBeouf (Happy Nuke Year, Femme Fatale), Robert Pattinson (Easy Money, Velvet) and Rene Russo (Velvet Buzzsaw, Nightcrawler) to its cast. LaBeouf will play a young upstart working security for mob boss Carmine Tomino, Pattinson will play a gun for hire, while Russo's role is being kept under wraps for now. Sam Rockwell (Cosa Nostra, Beartown) has also signed on to reprise his award-winning role as Stan Hollyfield. Dan Gilroy is directing from a James Morgan script.

Mass Effect 3 - Part 1:
Fans can look forward to more familiar faces in Mass Effect 3: Part 1 with Lupita Nyong'o (Mass Effect 2, Suzanne), Mads Mikkelsen (Burial Rites, The Question: The End), Fatima Ptacek (Mass Effect: The Shadow Broker, Mass Effect: Cerberus) and Andre Braugher (Stained, Looking for Alaska) all signing on to reprise their roles from previous entries in the film series. Rian Johnson is returning to direct from a script by Seth Overton.

Buried Child: Casey Affleck (Missing Men, Deprogramming) and Brendan Fraser ("Trust", "Doom Patrol") have joined Clint Eastwood's film adaptation of Sam Shepard's famed play. They will play the sons of Eastwood and Jessica Lange. Fraser will play the mentally unstable eldest son, while Affleck will play the one-legged second son. Clint Eastwood directs from an adaptation by Chad Taylor.

To the Other Side:
Mahershala Ali (Martian Manhunter, Green Book), Michelle Williams (Venom, The Greatest Showman) and Don Cheadle (Stray Dogs, Blue Heat) have signed on to star in an original sci-fi film from writer Mo Buck (Radisson, Letter to Myself) and director Alfonso Cuaron (Mass Effect: Cerberus, Roma). The film is set in the future where time travel is commonplace with some out to use it for their own gain. Ali will play a time patrol officer tasked with keeping others from modifying major past events, Williams will play a frequent time traveler, and Cheadle will play Ali's partner.

The Raid: S. Craig Zahler (Dragged Across Concrete, 7 Days) has signed on to direct a remake of the Indonesian action film, The Raid. Taylor Kitsch (The Stand, Justice League International), Eric Bana (The Stand, Cleopatra) and Stephen Dorff ("Rolling Stone", "True Detective") have been cast in the project about an elite police unit tasked with raiding a building controlled by a drug lord. Kitsch will play the lead role, Bana will play his superior officer, while Dorff will play Kitsch's older brother. Mark Newton (Neuromancer, Synthetic) wrote the script, which will be his first film as a writer since Season 5.
