This round saw Chris Pratt return to the studio, a new writer, a long awaited sequel and a movie robbed. Here's The Roundup....
3. Scott Eastwood
For the first time in possibly his entire career, Scott Eastwood was cast in a role that seems just right for him. The role of Leon Kennedy in Resident Evil 2 doesn't require him to do too much and fits in with skill set.
2. Chris Pratt
I didn't particularly care for Sandbox as a film, but it was just nice to see him working for the studio again.
1. B.R.I.G.A.N.D.S.
I really enjoyed this one. It's a nice throwback action thriller featuring a great cast where everyone suits their role. It was just a really satisfying film.
3. Box Office
BRIGANDS was robbed at the box office. I get that R-rated thrillers are risky at the box office, but this one definitely got robbed.
2. Resident Evil 2
This one just felt very paint by numbers to me, like watching someone play the video game. Sure, it might be entertaining at first, but eventually you want more going on.
1. Sandbox
I couldn't figure out who this movie was for. Chris Pratt in the headlining role would suggest a fun blockbuster, but as the story unwinds it turns into more and more of a children's film.
