That was a strong end of the season with three solid films. Here's The Roundup....
3. A Following
Kirsten Dunst was distracting in her role, which felt ripped from a completely different sort of film, but the plotting was tight and Hammer was a good choice for the lead.
2. Batman: Arkham
Not as good as Caped Crusader, but it was still a solid film with some work from Gyllenhaal and the new Robin, Taron Egerton.
1. Elysian
I really enjoyed Elysian, which featured a great soundtrack and strong performances from its lead roles. I'd be surprised if it doesn't pull in at least a couple GRA nominations.
3. Batman: Arkham
I didn't think the villain choices were very strong. And like one of the reviews mentioned already, it was distracting that some characters disappeared from the plot without warning.
2. A Following
This is mostly for Dunst's character. She just felt really out of place.
1. Nothing Else
That's all I could complain about this week. It was a solid way to round out the 13th season of LRF.
