In Development

The Phantom of the Opera: No strangers to musical films, Nicole Kidman (Obsession, The Virgin Suicides) and Catherine Zeta-Jones ("Feud: Bette and Joan", Dad's Army) have signed on to Tim Burton's new film adaptation of The Phantom of the Opera. Kidman will play the diva opera singer, Carlotta, while Zeta-Jones will play Madame Giry, the opera's ballet mistress. Also joining the film will be "Family Guy" creator-turned-actor Seth MacFarlane (A Million Ways to Die in the West, "The Orville"). He will play one of the opea managers in the film. Jacob Jones penned the adaptation.

Crimson: Mark Strong (Uncharted 3, Hunter), John Malkovich (The Queen of the Night, Paradiso) and Scoot McNairy (Don't Hang Up, Booster Gold: Lost in Time) have all joined the Margot Robbie-led spy thiller Crimson. Strong will play the head of a secret KGB spy program, Malkovich will play a former KGB assassin, while McNairy will play a sleezy CIA agent. Anton Corbijn is directing the film from an original script written by John Malone.

Circumstances of Time: Director Steven Spielberg (The Life of the Party, Hiroshima) returns to LRF for the first time since Season 5, in a film that will see a return to the science fiction drama for the filmmaker. The film will star Andrew Garfield (Standing Back, American Playboy), Steve Carell (Spark of Madness, Bright Neon Lights) and Tom Holland (How to Survive in Hell, Queen Mary). Garfield will play a young scientist who teams up with Carell to build a time machine. Holland will co-star as Garfield's younger brother who helps them on the project. The film is based on an original story by Giovanni Garcia (Zombielove, Dragonball: The Wrath of the Demon King).

Hawkworld: Taylor Kitsch (The Stand, The Raid) and Jessica Biel (Justice League International, "Limetown") first appeared as Hawkman and Hawkgirl all the way back in the Season 3 box office hit Hawkman. While they appeared as the characters in Season 10's Justice League International, the two have not appeared in their own film in 11 seasons. However, this season they will be back in Hawkworld. This entry will be directed by Julius Avery (Overlord, Samaritan), who takes over for the first film's director, Len Wiseman (Hawkman, Total Recall). APJ (Batman: Arkham, Uncharted 3) wrote the film's script.

Visions: Director Ben Wheatley (Free Fire, High-Rise) will make his LRF debut with a supernatural thriller from writer Jack Slipter (The Arrival, Girl in the Fog). Elisabeth Moss (The Invisible Man, Plastic Man) will star in the project along with Chiwetel Ejiofor (Scion 2, The Price of Fame) and Yvonne Strahovski (Missing Men, Kingmaker Chronicles). Moss plays a clairvoyant woman who falls in love a man she shouldn't have played by Ejiofor. Strahovski will play Moss' best friend in the project.

To The Max: Noah Centineo (Kite, Born in Brooklyn) has signed on to star in an upcoming dark crime comedy from director Matt Spicer ("That's What She Said", Ingrid Goes West). He will play a spoiled teenager who fashions himself as a master criminal. Rob Lowe (Holiday in the Wild, "9-1-1: Lone Star") and Kathryn Hahn (Private Life, A Bad Moms Christmas) have been cast as his oblivious parents. The script comes from writers Lon Charles (The Temptations, "Manson") and Chad Taylor (A Lost Sense of Heaven, "She-Hulk").
