Reaction: Certainly not a hit by any means, but the Dark Comedy genre is always very risky and volatile at the box office, so we are actually quite happy that the film at least barely broke even.

"Glenn Howerton and Rachel McAdams exhibit great chemistry in the lead roles, making for one of the most believable film sibling pairs in recent history. Their roles play well to their strengths as well. Pontiac has several laugh-out-loud moments, which isn't always the case from LRF's comedic output." - Brenton Smalls, Playboy

"Given the creative team behind it, I couldn’t help but feel a bit let down by Pontiac. McAdams is great and Howerton does his thing but it is the same type of part that we’ve seen him do multiple times at LRF now and I think we might be seeing diminishing returns." - Michael St. Felix, The Charlotte Observer

"Pontiac hit the right notes for me with its humor. This was partly due to the cast, but also due to a well-crafted script from Ellis and Malone. It successfully walks a tight rope between humor and drama, doing it better than most other films in the comedy/drama genre mix. It was also nice to see Rachel McAdams finally grace the LRF big screen."

Rated R for language, sexual content/nudity and some violence
