Miracles: Luis Guzman (Crimson, Walker), Toby Huss (Gambit and Rogue, Copshop), June Squibb (Guilt, Palmer) and Talking Heads musician David Byrne will round out the cast of Sean Baker's crime drama Miracles. Guzman will play a co-worker of Josh Brolin's character, Huss will play the town sheriff, Squibb will play the mother of Jack Black and Toni Collette's characters, while Byrne will play a strange resident in town. Chad Taylor penned the script.
Captain America: Tom Selleck (McCain, "Blue Bloods") has signed on to play an older version of Tony Stark (played by Jack Huston in The Invincible Iron Man), who is now the director of SHIELD in Captain America. Also joining the film will be Melissa George (Carpenter, Sleeping Beauties), Jürgen Prochnow (Damascus Cover, Hitman: Agent 47), Alexander Fehling (A Hidden Life, The Captain) and Alain Moussi (Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxer: Retaliation). George, Prochnow and Fehling will play members of the villainous Hydra organization, while Moussi will play the mercenary Batroc. Peter Berg directs the Marvel Universe production from a script by D.R. Cobb.
Death of a Comic: Adam Sandler (Broadway, A Reputation) is set for his first dramatic leading role in LRF following his GRA-nominated role in Broadway. He will play a world famous comedian who is accused of a serious crime. Michael Keaton (The Past Before, Don't Hang Up) and Albert Brooks (Isla Vista, Heart of Stone) will also appear in the project. Brooks will play Sandler's father, while Keaton will play Sandler's loyal best friend. Thomas Vinterberg (The Hunt, Another Round) has been hired to direct the film based on an original script by Mo Buck (Collapse, For Thoe Who Don't Read Me).
Caesar Part III: Leonardo DiCaprio (Caesar Part II, E.P.) is back for one final film as Julius Caesar in Caesar Part III, the conclusion of the trilogy from director Christopher Nolan (Caesar Part II, Risico). The film charts Caesar's final years as dictator of Rome following his victory in the civil war against Pompey. Will Poulter (Caesar Part II, Broadway), Uma Thurman (Caesar, Skyrim) and Daisy Edgar-Jones (The Big One, Caesar Part II) will also all be back from this entry, reprising their roles as Brutus, Servilia and Calpurnia, respectively. John Malone (Carte Blanche, Judas Iscariot) and Chad Taylor (The Long Way Home, Revival) once again wrote the script.
The Mars Room: Olivia Cooke (Once Upon a Time in Greenwich Village, Gambit: District X), Scoot McNairy (The Curse of Janara, Revelations), Sterling K. Brown (INFINITY, Bad Dreams Come True) and Dane DeHann (Life of a Champion, The Informers) have all been cast in the adaptation of the novel The Mars Room by Rachel Kushner. Cooke will play a young woman trying to survive life in a women's prison, while McNairy will play an academic teaching inmates at the prison. DeHaan will play a man from Cooke's past, while Brown will play a corrupt police officer. Desiree Akhavan (The Miseducation of Cameron Post, Appropriate Behavior) is set to direct the film which was adapted by Rosie JoLove (The Vacationers, Excellent Women) and Rachel Hallett Hardcastle (Citizen, Final End).
Among Us: Norwegian filmmaker André Øvredal (Mortal, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark) has been hired to direct a film based on the online video game, Among Us. Evan Rachel Wood (Rachel Rising, Runaway), Richard Madden (The Last of the Mohicans, 2060) and Dev Patel (Monaco, Recursion) have been cast in the project, which is expected to have a large ensemble cast. They will all play crew members of The Skeld, a spaceship looking for a new planet for humanity. Madden will play the ship's captain, Wood will play the ship's pilot and his wife, while Patel has been cast as a security officer. Sammy-Jo Ellis (Troll Mountain, Her Dying Wish) penned the adaptation.
