Rise Again: Isabela Merced (The Mars Room, All the Pretty Horses), Lara McDonnell (Midnight Tales, Belfast), and Emily Beecham (Maledicta, Tekken: Blood Feud) have joined Raffey Cassidy and Mila Kunis in Olivia Wilde's gymnastics drama, Rise Again. Merced and McDonnell will play gymnasts, while Beecham will play a coach. Andrew Doster has penned the story.
Bashenga: The Black Panther: The historical set Black Panther film has added Chad Coleman (Copshop, Shooting Stars), Jay Will (Rob Peace, "Tulsa King"), Sheldon Shepherd (Yardie, Bob Marley: One Love), Peter Mensah (Tarzan, At Night All Blood Is Black), and Masali Baduza (The Woman King, "Bridgerton") to its expansive ensemble cast to build out the world of 1600s Wakanda. Steve McQueen is directing the Marvel Universe production from a script by Jimmy Ellis and Mark Newton.
Sgt. Rock: Alan Ritchson's Sgt. Rock has his Easy Company as J. Alphonse Nicholson (They Cloned Tyrone, "Clipped"), Mark Rowley (The Eye, "The Last Kingdom"), Fred Hechinger (Thelma, Kraven the Hunter), and Martin Sensmeier (The Last Manhunt, "1883") have joined the film as his platoon to fight some Nazis. Jalmari Helander directs while APJ & Jimmy Ellis have written the DC Comics Universe film.
Exodus: Brad Pitt (Hex, An Eye For An Eye) has signed on to headline Exodus, a drama from director Andrew Dominik (Under the Influence, To the White Sea) and rookie writer Holden Abbott. The film will tell the trials and tribulations of a megachurch pastor whose shady practices are exposed by a journalist who will be played by Zoe Saldana (The Dogs of Winter, The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass).
Mises: Director Todd Phillips (Rookie's Road, Hated: The Ballad of GG Allin) and writer Alex Conn (Watchmen, Never Seeing Kristina Again) are teaming up for a political themed dramedy about the Libertarian Mises Caucus and its founder Michael Heise. Lucas Hedges (Cedar Ridge, Written By Jason) has signed on to play Heise. Ian McKellen (Who Watches the Watchmen, Kazaria), Bo Burnham (Everything Will Be Alright, Winter's Displeasure), and Kevin Pollak (The Question: Dark Tomorrow, Goodrich) have signed on for supporting roles.
The Flintstones: Season 34 will see The Flintstones hitting LRF screens in animated form from the talents of director Chris Renaud (The Secret Life of Pets, Despicable Me 4) and writers Lon Charles (Splendour, Escape) and Joshua Collins (Punch Buggy, Cedar Ridge).
The voice cast is set to be led by John C. Reilly (Broadway Joe, The ComeBack) as Fred Flintstone, Andy Samberg (Palm Springs, Lee) as Barney Rubble, Kelly Reilly (Triple Identity, "Yellowstone") as Wilma Flintstone, and Ellie Kemper (The Nest, Happiness for Beginners) as Betty Rubble.
