The Roundup with Jeff Stockton (Season 33 Round 10)

A weak season financially ends on a decent note at least. Here's The Roundup....

3. Metascores
While the box office struggled this season, the quality of the films was quite high - at least as far as the Metascores go. Season 33 films had an average Metascore 66.1 - the highest since the 66.9 mark achieved in Season 23.

2. We Still Know Where You Live
Jack Brown took the first film, which was a pretty basic home invasion horror film and expanded everything - the scope, stakes, character development, etc. into something that is a lot more complex and entertaining.

1. Bashenga: The Black Panther
Talk about a surprise. Jimmy Ellis, Mark Newton, and director Steve McQueen took a character that is more of a footnote and occasional mention in Marvel Comics - not a developed character - and created an epic historical superhero film unlike anything else out there.

3. N/A

2. Profits
Season 33 has gone down as the least profitable season in LRF history. Thankfully, I doubt next season will have the same fate - not with X-Men and Superman on the schedule.

1. Rise Again
There were some decent moments in this story, but it went on WAY TOO LONG with not enough payoff to warrant the multiple bathrooms breaks required.
