Rise Again: Kevin McKidd (Carte Blanche, Batman Beyond), Laura Benanti (Rise Again, "The Gilded Age"), and Breanna Yde ("Malibu Rescue", "School of Rock") have rounded out the cast of the upcoming gymnastics drama from director Olivia Wilde and writer Andrew Doster. The film is finishing the last legs of its production across Los Angeles and London right now.
Bashenga: The Black Panther: The world of colonial era Wakanda continues to grow with the additions of Jermaine Fowler (Sting, Ricky Stanicky), Omoni Oboli (Wings of a Dove, Love Is War), Ola Rapace (Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, Ares), Kofi Siriboe (Hillside, Dating Vanessa), and Genevieve Nnaji (Farming, Lionheart) to the ensemble cast of Bashenga: The Black Panther. Steve McQueen helms the film from a script by Jimmy Ellis and Mark Newton.
Sgt. Rock: The next DC Comics Universe film - the debut film of Season 34 - has added Damon Herriman (Better Man, Together), Albrecht Schuch (Boys from the Forest, Peacock), Felix Kammerer (All the Light We Cannot See, All Quiet on the Western Front), and Lars Eidinger (Dying, "Babylon Berlin") to its cast. They will play the villains of the World War II-set action adventure. Jalmari Helander is directing the film from a script by APJ and Jimmy Ellis.
Exodus: The debut film from writer Holden Abbott, Exodus, has added Miles Caton (Sinners) and Carrie Coon (Green Lantern Corps, Collapse) to the Brad Pitt-led cast. Andrew Dominik is set to direct the film.
Mises: The political-themed dramedy, Mises, from director Todd Phillips and writer Alex Conn has added the eclectic mix of Allison Janney (Watchmen, Anarchy), AnnaSophia Robb (The Fog, Mexican Gothic), Jenna Fischer (The 15:17 to Paris, Brad's Status), and Brian Austin Green (Beautiful Disaster, The Night They Came Home) to its supporting cast to fill in around star Lucas Hedges - who plays Libertarian political wannabe Michael Heise.
The Flintstones: The new animated film based on the classic Flintstones cartoon has added Aziz Ansari ("Parks and Recreation", "Master of None"), Stephen Tobolowsky (Poison Ivy: Mind Games, The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass), John Mulaney ("The Bear", "Mulaney"), and Tony Hale (Red Lantern Corps, Gas Bar Blues) to its voice cast. Ansari and Tobolowsky will play the Great Gazoo and Mr. Slate, respectively, while Mulaney and Hale will play two new characters - doppelgangers of Fred and Barney. Chris Renaud directs from an adaptation by Lon Charles and Joshua Collins.
