In Development

Swamp Thing: Rounding out the cast of the upcoming DC Comics Universe film, Swamp Thing, will be Frances Conroy (The Tale, "The Mist"), Lucy Griffiths (The Price, "Preacher") and James Woods (Jamesy Boy, "Ray Donovan"). Conroy will play the wife of Anton Arcane (Ian McShane), Griffiths will play the girlfriend of Alec Holland (Alexander Skarsgard), while the controversial Woods will play a general. Jordan Vogt-Roberts is directing the film from a script by APJ.

But What Am I?: Ned Beatty (Baggage Claim, The Big Ask), Julie Christie (Odette, The Bookshop) and Matt Lucas (A Futile and Stupid Gesture, Polar) have all joined the sort-of Paul Reubens/Pee-Wee Herman biopic. Christie will play billionaire heiress Doris Duke, Lucas will play her butler, while Beatty will play Paul Reubens' father. Michel Gondry directs from a Chad Taylor script.

Rocket Red: Kevin Durand (Peter and the Starcatchers, SKin Tight), Yuri Kolokolnikov (The Hitman's Bodyguard, "The Americans") and Emory Cohen (Trip, Lords of Chaos) have signed on to the first DC Comics Universe film of Season 13, Rocket Red. Kolokolnikov and Cohen have been cast as members of the Rocket Red brigade, while Durand has been cast as Green Lantern Corps member Kilowog. Brad Bird is directing this DC Comics Universe entry from a script by Harry Wright and James Morgan.

The Virgin Suicides: Alex Conn (Oh Johnny Boy, The Vegan Movie) has set his second directorial effort into motion with a new adaptation, or re-imagining, of Jeffrey Eugenides' novel The Virgin Suicides. Thomas Mann (Them That Follow, The Highwaymen) will play the lead role, a college student working an essay about a group of girls from his hometown. Kaitlyn Dever (Theater Kids, Mona Lisa) and Timothee Chalamet (Oh Johnny Boy, The Host) have also signed on to the film. Dever will play a girl Mann went to school with, whilt Chalamet will play a popular boy at school.

Buried Memories: Chloe Grace Moretz (Isla Vista, Haute Couture), Gabriel Bateman (Child's Play, "Hitman") and Michael C. Hall (Captain Atom, Alien: Isolation) have signed on to star in the latest fantasy-horror film from writer Ben Collins (The Mutation, Stray Dogs). They will play a family visiting a tropical island where the residents mysteriously vanished many years prior. Daniel Espinosa (Triangle, Six Billion Dollar Man) will direct the film.

Skyrim II: Dragonborn: After the massive success of Skyrim back in Season 10, it was only a matter of time before a sequel hit production. Chris Hemsworth (Doctor Love, Skyrim) and Uma Thurman (Skyrim, Death and All His Friends) have signed on to reprise their roles from the first film, while Max von Sydow (The Squared Circle, Star Wars: The Force Awakens) has joined the cast as an elderly former knight. Miguel Sapochnik (Skyrim, "Game of Thrones") will return to direct the film once again from a script by Mo Buck (Don't Hang Up, Under Pressure).
