Reaction: The failure at the foreign box office really doomed writer Sammy-Jo Ellis' debut financially, but it would have had an uphill climb regardless due to less than ideal domestic box office. We were hoping that the pedigree of the supporting cast would help bring in some star power with Raiff still being a virtual unknown (especially at the box office), but it simply didn't pan out.

"The supporting characters saved this one from being a forgettable Hollywood romance tale. The writing was actually good, but it felt too safe with its lead characters, played by Raiff and Awkwafina.
