War of the Currents: Simone Ashley (Picture This, "Bridgerton") and Jeff Daniels (Jonestown, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic) have been cast to complete the ensemble of Michel Gondry's Tesla-Edison rivalry film. Daniels will play George Westinghouse, while Ashley will play Bertha Avanella Lamme. Meirad Tako penned the film.
The Brothers Kendrick: More films are filling out their cast this round as Aneurin Barnard (Radioactive, Timestalker) and Toby Regbo ("The Last Kingdom", Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald) have signed on to fill out the fictional band at heart of the story. David Mackenzie is directing the film from a script by Joshua Collins.
Joker vs. Deadshot: Some big names have joined the latest R-rated DC Comics Universe production with Halle Berry (Task Force X: Jungleland, The Union) back in her recurring role as Amanda Waller and Julia Garner (Haven, Task Force X: Chaos and Madness) back as Harley Quinn. One new face will be Al Pacino (Escape, The Scam of Success) as Gotham mob boss Lou Maroni. Danny McBride makes his film-directing debut in the film, which was written by DC maestro APJ.
Sexual Paradise: KJ Apa (Death Dream, Duke Nukem), Edward Norton (The Big One, Triangle), and Heather Graham (The Spectre, Skin Tight) have joined the supporting cast of the new Wes Anderson film written by Jacob Jones. Norton and Graham will play the parents of Alex Wolff's character, while Apa will an alpha male who befriends Wolff.
Amityville Horror: The highly-anticipated sequel to Amityville is officially hitting production, with this story telling the experiences of the Lutz family (the subjects of the original Amityville Horror) in the house at 112 Ocean Avenue. Wes Bentley (The Ninth Hour, "Yellowstone") and Alice Eve (Doctor Love, Mass Effect: First Contact) have been cast as George and Kathy Lutz, a married couple who move into the house after getting a good deal on the infamous home. Nick Robinson (Amityville, Survive the Night) will return as Butch DeFeo in the film, now on trial for the murder of his family. Sophie Nelisse ("Yellowjackets", Amityville) will also return from the first film as DeFeo's sister Dawn - somehow. Vincenzo Natali (Amityville, Tail) is back to direct, once again from a script by Jack Brown (Willamette, Friday the 13th: Blood Ties).
The Avengers: Last Resort Films is finally bringing the most-famed Marvel Comics superhero team to the big screen. The first official cast members to join the film are Keanu Reeves (The Final Will, Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer) as Silver Surfer, John Krasinski (One By One, Fantastic Four: Doom) as Mister Fantastic, Sarah Gadon (American Gigolo, Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer) as Invisible Woman, Jack Reynor (Sins of the Father, Zero Hour) as Human Torch, and Jason Segel (Free Spirit, Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer) the Thing - so Silver Surfer and the Fantastic Four. The film will depict the greatest heroes of the Marvel Universe teaming up to defend Earth from Galactus once and for all. Gareth Edwards (Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer, Halo 5) is directing, while the script was written by D.R. Cobb (Captain America: Winter's End, The Ballad of Dwight Frye) and Mark Newton (Ghost Rider: Damnation, Masters of the Universe: The Sword of Power).
