Viggo made his LR debut in Season 3 as the star of the time travel thriller from director Alex Garland and writer James Morgan. The film was a hit with critics and audiences alike, earning a solid profit in addition to its MUST SEE Metascore of 84.

Viggo's second film wasn't quite as successful as his first. The depressing drama Tenth Circle garnered mixed reviews from critics and flopped at the box office as well - although it did manage a GRA nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a weak field.

Viggo sat out several seasons before returning in a meaty role in the ultra-moody black-and-white horror-drama from Darren Aronofsky. While the film (and its dark, niche subject matter) missed out on profits, it did get strong reviews and Mortensen scored his first GRA nomination for Best Villain.

The actor followed up his Best Villain nomination by premiering his villainous role of Ra's Al Ghul in the studio's DC Comics Universe in an end-credits cameo in Task Force X. Mortensen was only in the film for a brief moment, but it was a mega hit at the box office.

This time around Viggo Mortensen managed to win the Best Villain GRA trophy for his take on Ra's Al Ghul. The film was a huge hit at the box office, still standing as the 6th highest grossing film in LRF history.

Next up for Viggo Mortensen was the brutal and critically acclaimed Viking Age thriller, Berserker. The film was a hit with critics and even managed to score profits despite its graphic violent content. As for Mortensen, he was nominated for the Best Actor GRA trophy for the first (and hopefully not last) time.
