Blue Heat: The upcoming action film from director Gareth Evans and writer Jack Ryder has added Don Cheadle (Avengers: Infinity War, Miles Ahead), Maisie Williams (Mary Shelley, "Game of Thrones"), Evan Peters (The Associate, Gargoyles), Nadji Jeter (Wonder, The Fifth Wave) and Alfie Allen ("Game of Thrones", The Predator) to its cast. Cheadle will play the father of John Boyega, while the rest will play members of the bank robbery gang led by Boyega.
Cascade: Timothee Chalamet (Made in Abyss, La Resistance), Lola Kirke ("Mozart in the Jungle", American Made) and Bill Camp (Red Sparrow, Molly's Game) have joined the upcoming western from director Kogonada and writer Chad Taylor. Kirke will play the daughter of a railroad baron who has a relationship with John Cho's character, Camp will play a sheriff, while Chalamet's role has not yet been revealed.
Runaway: Xavier Dolan's teenage runaway film has added the likes of Trevante Rhodes (The Predator, Moonlight), Ethan Hawke (Neuromancer, Welcome to Paradise), Hillary Swank ("Trust", The Homesman) and Susan Sarandon ("Feud: Bette and Joan", A Bad Moms Christmas). Hawke and Swank are set to play Haley Lu Richardson's parents, with Sarandon as her grandmother. Mo Buck adapted the script from the French Canadian television series of the same name.
Green Arrow: Hunters: The DC Universe continues following the runaway success of the Booster Gold sequel with the long awaited sequel to Green Arrow. Armie Hammer (The Squared Circle, Green Arrow) returns as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, while Vanessa Kirby ("The Crown", Mission: Impossible - Fallout) returns as his love interest and partner-in-crimefighting Dinah Lance/Black Canary. They will be joined by Tao Okamoto (Synthetic, "Westworld") and Iain Glen ("Game of Thrones", Resident Evil: The Final Chapter). Okamoto will play Yakuza archer, Shado, while Glen has signed onto play an undisclosed villain. Wes Ball (Green Arrow, Maz Runner: The Death Cure) will return to direct from a script by APJ (Uncharted, Plastic Man).
Wishmaster: LRF has gone back to the horror remake well, this time with a remake of the 1997 schlocky horror film Wishmaster from writer Clive Steinbeck (Triangle, Nocturne). Jonathan Rhys Meyers (Sherwood, Planet LV 426), Allison Williams (Get Out, "Girls") and Danny Huston (Hellraiser, Rasputin) will star in the film about a Djinn (genie) who has to get the person who wakes him up to make three wishes in order for his kind to take over the Earth. Meyers will play the evil Djinn, Williams will play the woman who accidentally awakens the Djinn, and Huston will play an antiques collector who kickstarts the plot of the film. Visionary director Tarsem Singh (Paradise Lost, Immortals) will direct the film.
Adr1ft: Margot Robbie (The Job, I, Tonya) will be seen on the big screen for Last Resort Films for the first time since appearing in The Job all the way back in Season 1. She is set to headline the film Adr1ft, starring as an astronaut trapped in a failing space station. Alex Garland (Into Thin Air, Doppelganger) is directing the film based on a script by Billy Cruder (Lost Planet, Dino Crisis 2).
