Metal Gear Solid 2: The video game sequel Metal Gear Solid 2 has added Olga Kurylenko (Masters of the Universe, God of War), William Fichtner (Maple Leaf, "Gauntlet"), Kerry Condon (Bad Samaritan, "Better Call Saul") and Veronika Bonell (A Demon Within, Jimmy's Jungle). Kurylenko, Condon and Bonell will play new characters in the series, while Fichtner will reprise his role as Revolver Ocelot from the first film. James McTeigue is directing the film from a script by Willem Mainwright.
The Devil in the White City: David Fincher's latest film has been rounding up quite the ensemble. Giovanni Ribisi ("Sneaky Pete", The Bad Batch), Emilia Clarke ("Game of Thrones", Solo: A Star Wars Story), Sarah Hyland ("Modern Family", XOXO) and Olivia Wilde (V, Life Itself) have reportedly all joined the film which tells the story of the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago and of a serial killer who takes advantage of the event to lure victims. Jimmy Ellis penned the adaptation based on the book by Erik Larson.
Bone: Jeff Smith's acclaimed independent comic series, Bone, is headed to the big screen in the form of an animated feature written by Wesley Campbell (Saga) and directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson (The Darkest Minds, Kung Fu Panda 3). Elijah Wood (Evangelion, Sweet Tooth), Paul Giamatti (Life After Life, Halo 4), Bill Hader ("Barry", Booster Gold II: The Booster Gold Story), Rose Leslie (Zombieworld, Reality), Jessica Walters ("Arrested Development", "Jennifer Falls") and John Goodman (Jersey Devil, To the Moon) have all signed on to voice characters in the animated fantasy adventure film.
Martian Manhunter: Following appearances in Booster Gold II and Justice League International, the character of Martian Manhunter is set to headline his own solo adventure. Mahershala Ali (Justice League International, Booster Gold II: The Booster Gold Story) will once again play the martian hero. David Lowery (The Old Man & the Gun, A Ghost Story) has been hired to direct the film with Chad Taylor (Hands on a Hard Body, Isla Vista) having penned the script.
Dark Matter: Idiosyncratic filmmaker Shane Carruth (Primer, Upstream Color) is set to direct a sci-fi film based on the novel by Blake Crouch. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (To the Moon, Neuromancer) and Dan Stevens (Bride of Frankenstein, "Drive") have already been cast in the project about a scientist who finds himself kidnapped, only to wake up in a parallel universe. Gordon-Levitt will play the lead role, while Stevens will play a former colleague of his. H.G. Hansen (Bioshock, A Little Life) wrote the script.
Radisson: Christian Bale (Drake, Delaware) is set to return to work for Last Resort Films for the first time since the disastrous Season 5 film Drake. Here he will play French fur trader and explorer Pierre-Esprit Radisson. Rami Malek (Blackbird, Maximum Max) will play his brother-in-law who gets into the fur business with him. Jeff Goldblum (American Dream, The Carpet Makers) has also signed on to the film as the governor of New France. Joe Wright (The Queen of the Night, A Farewell to Arms) is set to direct the film based on a script by Mo Buck (Letter to Myself, Skyrim).
