Kingmaker Chronicles: Joining Tom Hardy in director James Gray's medieval adventure film will be Yvonne Strahovski ("The Handmaid's Tale", Missing Men), Robert Sheehan (Mortal Engines, "The Umbrella Academy"), David Boreanaz ("SEAL Team", "Bones") and Tim Roth (Paradiso, Guilt). Strahovski will play the wife of Hardy's king, while Boreanaz, Sheehan and Roth will play the king's guards. The script was written by Mo Buck, Jack Ryder and Dominic Wilkins.

Red Farm: Samantha Morton ("Harlots", "The Walking Dead"), Justin Prentice ("Preacher", "13 Reason Why") and Mike Colter ("Luke Cage", Mass Effect: Silent Assassins) have joined the horror-thriller Red Farm from director F. Javier Gutierrez and writer Billy Cruder. The film tells the story of the aftermath of a bank robbery.

Beartown: The small town hockey drama based on the Swedish novel of the same name, Beartown, has added Lewis MacDougall (A Monster Calls, Boundaries), Millie Bobby Brown (Doppelganger 2, "Stranger Things"), Antoine-Olivier Pilon (Runaway, Be More Chill) and Devin Druid (Wiener-Dog, "13 Reasons Why"). Lee Toland Krieger is directing from an adaptation by Rosie JoLove.

Metal Gear Solid 2: The long awaited sequel to the Season 3 hit video game adaptation, Metal Gear Solid, is finally on the way. Chris Evans (A Little Life, Missoula), Harrison Ford (Metal Gear Solid, Blade Runner 2049) and Max Irons (Damned Ship, Metal Gear Solid) have all signed on to return from the first film in their roles as Solid Snake, Col. Campbell and Otacon, respectively. Sam Claflin (The Creature: The Beginning, The Nightingale) has also signed on to co-star in the film as Raiden. The director of the first film, Joseph Kosinski (Batman: Caped Crusader, Batman: Gotham Knight) has opted to not return for the film. James McTeigue (Akira, Breaking In) has signed on to take over as director. The writer of the first film Mark Newton (Neuromancer, Synthetic) has also decided to not return, with Willem Mainwright (An Ember in the Ashes, Life After Life) taking over the scripting duties on the sequel.

Police Story: The Return: Last Resort Films already released one film based on the hit Chinese action franchise Police Story with the Jack Ryder-penned, Will Smith-starring Blue Heat, but now the studio will be producing an official sequel to the series that will bring back series star Jackie Chan (Marvelous, The Foreigner). Samuel L. Jackson (Captain Marvel, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas) has also joined the film as the villain. Patrick Hughes (The Hitman's Bodyguard, The Expendables 3) will direct the film from a script by Meirad Tako (Driving Around the Time, Evangelion).

The Devil in the White City: Hot off his wins at the 10th Golden Reel Awards, Russell Crowe (Kite, Skyrim) has signed on to star in the long-rumored adaptation of the book The Devil in the White City. He will play Daniel Burnham, the architect behind the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago. Benjamin Walker (Cosa Nostra, American Psycho the Musical), John C. Reilly (Ghost Town, Blood on the Moon) and George MacKay (Marrowbone, "11.22.63") have also signed on to the project. Walker will play serial killer H.H. Holmes who used the fair to lure his victims to their death. Reilly will Burnham's business partner, while MacKay will play an associate of Holmes'. David Fincher (Survivor, "Mindhunter") will direct the film based on an adaptation penned by Jimmy Ellis (Missing Men).
