In Development

The Tournament: The cast of director Paul Greengrass' first film for LRF, The Tournament, has rounded out its cast with the additions of Diego Luna (Metal Gear Solid 2, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas), Vanessa Redgrave (Foxcatcher, The Butler) and Fionnula Flanagan ("Brotherhood", The Guard). Jimmy Ellis penned the historical thriller based on the novel by Matthew Reilly.

Zoe Maye: Sharon Stone (Happy Nuke Year, The Disaster Artist), Madison Pettis ("Five Points", Do You Believe?) and Charlotte McKinney (Story of Sade, Baywatch) have all joined the new comedy from director Judd Apatow and writer Jacob Jones. Stone will play the mentor of Zoe Maye, played by Selena Gomez; while McKinney and Pettis will play fellow dancers at a strip club.

Halo 5: The next Halo film, Halo 5, will see a couple more familiar faces for fans of the franchise. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Halo: ODST, Lost Planet) and Sophie Turner (The Reign of Lady Morgana, Halo 4) have both signed on to reprise roles they played in previous Halo films. Joining them will be Morris Chestnut ("Drive", "Rosewood") and Uzo Aduba ("Orange Us the New Black", Candy Jar) in new roles for the series. Gareth Edwards will once again direct based on a script by Mo Buck.

The Crucible: After a season away we not only have a TV series from writer Lon Charles (Newbury Street, Crowley), but now we also get a new film in the form of an adaptation of the famed play by Arthur Miller, The Crucible. Casey Affleck (Buried Child, Missing Men), Rooney Mara (Survivor, Sinkhole) and Hailee Steinfeld (Huntress, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic) have signed on to headline the film. Affleck will play John Proctor, a local farmer who finds himself imbroiled in a with trial. Mara will play his wife Elizabeth, while Steinfeld will play Abigail Williams, a young woman at the center of the witch trials. David Lowery (Martian Manhunter, The Old Man & the Gun) will direct the film.

Dragon Ball: The Wrath of the Demon King: James Wan (Resident Evil, Aquaman) has signed on to direct a film adaptation of the anime series Dragon Ball. Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Lost Planet, Cat People) has signed on to star in the film as the main hero, Goku, who finds himself in a fighting tournament with high stakes. Winston Duke (Mortal Kombat, Black Panther), Djimon Hounsou (Shazam!, Serenity) and Jane Levy (Dead Space, Steins Gate) have also signed onto the project. Hounsou will play the Demon King Piccolo, while Duke will play his son Piccolo Jr. Levy will play a friend of Goku, the spoiled Bulma. Giovanni Garcia (Sandbox, The Mask) has penned the adaptation.

Before and After: Director David O. Russell (Spark of Madness, Joy) has finally set up his next film following his Best Director win at the 9th Golden Reel Awards for Spark of Madness. Miles Teller (Life of a Champion, Siren) and Karen Gillan (Synthetic, Splinter Cell: Conviction) have signed on to star in the the fantasy/romance project where they play a couple that believes they have loved each other in past lives. Jack Slipter (Prey, 2060) wrote the script to the film.
